Re: Shelby GT 500 Orders/Wait list? News!

Got this information from a BON member.

Word is that Ford is abandoning the SVT-certified dealer strategy and will allow any dealer to sell them (along with all other future SVT models). Of course, the problem of allotment still remains, which is based on dealer volume and product mix, so your mom-and-pops dealer in Nowheresville, Idaho probably still will never see one Shelby in their showroom.

Yea thats a great idea. Make everyone who has enough money to really afford one mad as hell cause the rich people get first crack at them! If I could afford $40k for one and the stealership got greedy and tacked on $20k more, and I couldnt buy it, Id never buy a Ford again.

Re: Shelby GT 500 Orders/Wait list? News!

First I read that they were going to make as many as they could sell... then I read that Tang said they were going to remain "exclusive".

Spend your $$ on one and enjoy it, but just like the Mach's don't expect Ford to pass up a buck at the expense of your exclusivity.
