Wheel Vintiques
All,
Summit Racing has the Wheel Vintique Series 94 magnum 500 wheel 17x8 (part # WVI-94-7812534) for $549.95, which includes shipping. There is a small charge for handing (11.95. 2nd day air is like $90.00) Larger sizes go up accordingly. This is not cheap but I called Wheel Vintiques on Monday, (11-16-09) and was quoted a price of $626.00 a piece for the 17x8. Summit also sells the WV running horse center caps. A set of four 17x8, four center caps, and valve stems, with handling to my zip code is $2343.00. Again, not cheap, but they are a bad -a$$ looking wheel. The other Mach owners who have them will attest, I'm sure, that you cannot go wrong by serioulsy thinking about this wheel. The web address is www.summitracing.com. Check it out. |

Re: Wheel Vintiques
I'd much rather pay $150 per wheel from Wheel Replicas and get 18s vs 17s, but that's just me. I've never seen the Wheel Vintiques in person, but they appear to have more of a chrome shine appearance in the photos. They just seem way overpriced.

Re: Wheel Vintiques
That is a good deal but I would go 17x11 in the rear.

Re: Wheel Vintiques
I thought about going bigger in the rear but I want to rotate the tires. That was the only thing holding me up.

Re: Wheel Vintiques
I thought I had read somewhere that Wheel Vintiques hand crafts every wheel they make (like the Ferrari of wheels or something). This could only be hearsay but would explain the price.
Great for a show car; not the coin I would drop for something on the street every day. http://www.wheelvintiques.com/ |

Re: Wheel Vintiques
Thats correct. I was told each wheel is custom made and takes about 8 weeks for a set of four.

Re: Wheel Vintiques
They are beautiful, but I just can't justify spending that kind of money when I think our stock wheels look great.

Re: Wheel Vintiques
I can tell you that when we mounted my tires two of the wheels did not take any wheel weight to balance them.

Re: Wheel Vintiques
I'm with you! That price is still ridiculous!! I have worked in a manufacturing environment all my life, and there is no reason for that kind of price. If they were more reasonable, I would buy a set, along with a large number of other Mustangers! If they made more at a time, the price could come way down!

Re: Wheel Vintiques
They look great but I can't see spending that much and driving around New Orleans with them. They better be TOUGH.

Re: Wheel Vintiques
This is not my daily driver, but with any of my cars, driving the streets of NOLA is always a challenge.
