Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
Cool story. He reminds me of my grandfather. He had a Cougar with a 5.0 in it when he passed away. He bought it because it was the biggest V-8 engine Ford product he could get in a car at that time. He had another Cougar with a 5.0 and a Torino with a 429 in it before that car. He traded for the second Cougar which had an HO 5.0 in it because he was not satisfied with the 302 2bbl in the first Cougar. Not enough power. The engine in the Torino blew up while he was "getting after it" leaving a stop sign.

Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
Fabulous.
My father bought a new Mustang when he was 80 and I thought that was great. Good to see old folks enjoying sharp, sporty cars. Something I hope I'm never too old to enjoy.

Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
That's when you can really tell that someone has performance cars in his/her blood. I sure hope to be driving a hot car right up till the end (hopefully not anytime soon).

Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
The fact that he is 101 years old and still has his health is a blessing. I love the fact that he is 17 years old until he looks in the mirror. Good for him.

Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
One of the coolest things I have ever seen was a 67 year old do a massive burnout in his new z06. After the smoke cleared someone ran up with an oxygen bottle to help him breath. He had some mods done and promptly clicked off a 11.95

Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
I'll give him a pass on that. He is 101 after all. Most old folks stop driving all together once they pass 80. At least he chose an American Muscle Car and not some silly import. He gets a +1 in my book.

Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
I guess he figured it was slow enough for him to be able to handle it....
J/K... I think it is awesome that someone that old would buy a sporty car and not a caddy.

Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
I hope if I turn 101, I don't buy a camaro thinking it's a Mustang!!....I'll just blame it on a brain fart, from an old fart.

Re: 101 YR Old Buys new Camaro
I was eating lunch at Schlotzsky's today and saw a guy that looked 100 years old getting out of a black C6 with handicap tags on the back. I wanted to give him a high five, but I was afraid I might break him.
