Post pics of your shifter setup in your car!
Im about to buy a short shifter and i think it would be neat to have a thread dedicated to what (Steeda,MGW,hurst,pro5.0 etc....)and the different handle setups actually look like INSTALLED in the car,so clean your car up and snap some pics!!!!!!!

Re: Post pics of your shifter setup in your car!
The Hurst just went in to replace the MGW (blue).....I have not driven it that much but DO notice a difference! The Shift throw is the same between the two even though the Hurst sits higher in the car than the MGW.
The Smothness is better and it is easier to get into 5th and reverse! Not so nothcy like the MGW was....I like it! I used Mobile1 and Lucas Tranny fix during the install too so I am hoping that helps! I have tried both the MGW and HURST and when I buy a shifter for the wife's Saleen it WILL BE THE HURST!

Re: Post pics of your shifter setup in your car!
i got rid of a hurst for the mgw orange...i will never go back to anything else. hurst was noisy and sat up too high and i couldnt hit 3rd to save my life with that shifter (its an issue with me most likely) now with the mgw orange it s quiet, sits just right, and i hit 3rd now too! i love the mgw orange. here are some pics of it with an acura integra shift knob on it.
here is a pic of the hurst 18-wheeler shifter i had |

Re: Post pics of your shifter setup in your car!
Russ, that's the second time today you used that picture. You whore.
I don't know if this picture actually depicts my orange handled MGW or not, I think it does. Anyway, still looks like this, just definitely has the MGW. I love the notchy feeling. If I wanted a slush box, I would insert a straw into a Slurpee or something.

Re: Post pics of your shifter setup in your car!
uhm, with the boot and knob on it looks almost exactly like the stock shifter except just a little shorter.
not sure why you wouldn't put the boot back on correctly.... BTW MGW FTW |

Re: Post pics of your shifter setup in your car!
The hurst shifter I am using is not the whit ball extended arm shifter like 24k (Russ) is using!
It's the handle that sits more along the lines of what the stock one looks likeI got it from summit racing for $178

Re: Post pics of your shifter setup in your car!
ive got an mgw in mine and i love it, mine is smooth as butter, but very short and crisp shifts I love it. I have the orange handle but I think i want to change it and make it a little shorter. I guess the "hardest?" gears to get into are 5th and reverse but it just takes a tad more effort to me than the rest. Good luck you cant go wrong with any shifter compared to stock.
