HID's are killin me...
They are installed and work perfectly, only one slight issue...my high beams are now my low beams, and my low beams are now my high beams. What could have caused this?

Re: HID's are killin me...
this is quoted from a mach owner on mustangforums
and quote: "The only problem you will run into is that the hi and low beams are reversed. This can be solved by swapping two wires on the large blue harness that goes to the hi/low control box. You need to swap the middle wire with one of the outside ones."

Re: HID's are killin me...
I hear that the McCullough HID kits dont have that problem. They even have strong little magnets that click together and angle the bulb upwards when you want the high beams

Re: HID's are killin me...
I had this same exact problem. Don't worry, it's a simple fix. You have to reverse two wires that go into the main wiring harness (it's backwards on our car's in relation to almost every other car apparently). It's simple if its anything like my kit (I got my kit from www.retrosolutions.com ).
I bought, and installed my kit about a year ago, so I'm not 100% on what wires it was. Let me dig through my E-mail and I will get back to you. It was two wires that went from the stock driver side headlight socket, to the main harness for the HID's. You just had to pull the two wires and tabes out the back, and swap there posisitons (if you don't want to wait any play around, I believe it was only three wires or so).

Re: HID's are killin me...
ok if you could find that email that would be awesome because i still have this problem.
also is there a good power source i could connect the HID's to other than the positive battery terminal? they seem to keep draining my batteries when they are hooked up to the battery
