When I work at the Ford Dealer, about 33% of the people that come in (for trucks, SUV's and cars) ask when the new Mustang is coming out. About 1/2 of those say they plan to buy one when they do come out. There is no single car that has that kind of interest in it at the dealer. It will be a HUGE seller. I hope to pick one up myself!!

Hah, just like they planned on making only around 7k Mach1s right? Don't kid yourself. They'll make as many as they think they can sell. Ford is in business to make money, just like any other company.

Original predictions were for *about* 100K of the '65 Mustang; they built over 3X that when the dust finally settled. Had to use two plants to make it happen - one in Dearborn, and one in San Jose.
If Ford *gets* the whole heritage thing - they'll build to 90% of demand. This is what keeps Corvette values up. |

it's a nice looking stang and I would love to buy it.
Wait about 6 months after it has been on the market and everyone will have one I am glad that I bought the mach 1. I would be looking forward to what kind of special edition mustang they are going to do. I wouldn't want to get a basic v6, GT or even a cobra. bring on the boss or shelby edition

That's one sweet ride, if your a retro fan how could you not like it?
The mustang lives on for another decade at least. I'm glad I got the Mach though since they will be all over the place. But when my Mach's paid off we'll see what I buy, like others have said bring on the "Boss" or Shelby. If they continue with the Mach they need to put the 73 type hood on this new car IMO. Let's see GTO or the Mustang.....GM's falling way behind if you ask me. Mopar is going to have to pick up the slack they can design hot rods!

If thats a true picture what happened to the hood vents and
side vents on the 2005 mustang that was at the shows??? It looks kinda plain with just a smooth hood and no side scoops?? Will have to wait and see i guess for the real thing.

In 1987 they stopped putting the new 5.0 in the Tbirds so they would have enough of the new engine for the Mustang but when it comes to the F150 it won't happen. I a few years to wait and then I can have pick of the litter Just hope they don't put out all the models the same year. I think that's why the Mach get so overlooked since the Cobra came out at the same time. Quite a few want the HP, I wanted both HP and looks and it's the best decision I've made.

I believe the hood and side vents were shelved for the "cleaner" look. At least that is what I heard/read someplace.

Eh?
I don't need no stuck on side scoops - but it's gotta have some sort of hood scoop/intake or at least more sculpting.
This is a nice looking rendition - on the conservative side, tho. I'd probably buy one with the right engine. But - they better not put out that Maverick-styled interior - God-awful. How about more PICS?
