I put 4.10's in and I think my mechanic forgot to change the car to match the gears. cause everything seems the same. and it says i'm doing like 70 and i figure around 55. I have the sct xcal2.

Re: how do I match speedo to new gears?

You should be able to use your tuner to change your speedo, thats what I did.You can also do what I did to check it,have someone drive next to you on a deserted highway at different speeds,to check your speedo at different speeds. The reason I say this is because when my speedo was off,it was really off when I was driving at a faster speed.Good luck.

This may be a dumb question, but - did you tell the mechanic to adjust it and give him the tuner?
I just did mine myself with the Predator after I got it home from the shop

Re: how do I match speedo to new gears?

yes i gave him the tuner and he knew he was supposed to do it. I just think maybe since i gave him $5000 in parts to install he might have forgot that. I can't figure out how to change it on my tuner. can anyone help?

its pretty easy go to axle change the ratio to 4:10 and also tire revs per mile if you changed the tires size from factory.. should be good to go after that.

Re: how do I match speedo to new gears?

On the revs per mile, there's a formula that you use to get what number you have.In the tuner there's a number of different numbers, you use the one closes to what you have.I don't know the formula,I called a SCT tech and gave him my tire size and he gave me my revs per mile, then I went into the tuner and picked the closes number to what I have.Later.

Re: how do I match speedo to new gears?

The tire makers web site should have the revs-per-mile info for each particular tire they make on a spec sheet
