Re: put the o/r h pipe on my car...

I have an MRT off road H-pipe sitting in my storage building, just trying to decide if I want to install it or sell it. I currently have an MRT catted H-pipe on the Mach and I don't know how much louder the o/r pipe would be. I'm nearly deaf, so it won't bother me, but the highway patrol seems to hear really well. Another factor is deciding if I want to spend the money to have the Mach tuned if I do install it.

What catback do you have? I had a MRT O/R h-pipe and the stock catback for a while and it sounded good-not excessively loud either. Now the O/R h and Borla Stingers are a different story!

Cool Re: put the o/r h pipe on my car...

Borla Stingers and Bassani catted X love the sound and its fun setting off all the car alarms when you punch it.

I think so, although Stingers are fairly loud to begin with. Do you have the regular Magnaflows or MagnaPacks?

I have an FR500 cat-back, I'm able to use it because I have an IRS from a Cobra instead of the solid axle. The FR500 has a reputation of being pretty quiet until you get on it, and it has no drone at cruising speeds. Absence of drone was a major factor in me deciding to use it.

Re: put the o/r h pipe on my car...

I have on o/r Pro Chamber running to the SLP LM1, and it is wicked loud. If I keep it in the 2000RPM range it acctually gets pretty quiet. No drone whatsoever that I can notice. When you get on it man it is loud, I can't eve count how many times someone in the next lane tried to rev up on me, I give them about 3500 of the SLP and the look on their face is priceless.
