Post MachII are not saleing at Ford dealerships in OH,WV,KY,VA

The MACHII V6 LTD. Dealers Mustangs models are not saleing in OH,WV,KY,VA .

At my local Ford Dealership has 12 V6 MACHII on the lot eight of them came from out of state from other Ford dealerships out these states OH,KY,VA because other dealerships could not sale the MachII's and other dealerships dealer trade what on my local Ford Dealership lot.
One salesman said no one likes the MachII's because it's ugly and looks fake, and it's V6.

Considering that the hundreds of thousands of V-6 Mustangs built and sold allow Ford to built a few thousand Bullitt Mustangs, Cobra's, and now Mach 1's, I sure hope someone buys them. I rented a V-6 Mustang last year on business trip and it wasn't too bad a performer on the highway. One thing about a V-6 'stang is it also allows a young person to get into a Mustang without the higher insurance rates of a V-8. Most of the "Ricers" you see are mostly all-show and no-go, so based on that they should sell (LOL).

Mach II

This is not an official Ford package. This may be the workings of the dealer or the regional dealers, but it is not from Ford Motor Co. Looks kinda cheesy. At least they could have put some nice rims on it.

I don't see how Ford could stop it. It's just an aftermarket package. Just like all the companies making the shaker before the Mach 1 came out.

Looks like rice alright, all blow and no go and not too many outside of the import crowd wants that.

I think the guys wanting to dress up their V6 Mustangs want something different not a clone.

Do they own that name? They need to go after the razor with that in there name and the speed of sound then

To me it's like the term "GT" everyone uses it, this thing will die on it's own IMO.

At kings ford in Kings auto mall near me I saw one. It has to be what your talking about because it was a really wierd looking v6 with some sort of shaker type hood replica. It has some god awfull pint striping and a big horse on the doors. I think this is it and they call it a pony package instead of a Mach II package. Its the only white v6 they had on their lot a few days ago.

We installed the CDC kit on a GT and it looked exactly like the factory except the hood. It wouldn't suprise me if CDC wasn't the vendor for FOMOCO on the Mach 1. As for MACH II, there is no copyright on that name, so I am sure the regional dealers have no quarrel with Ford on that. Like I said, they could have put a better looking set of rims on it.

Ummmm, how many fake air inlets does that hood need? It's got what I am assuming to be a non functional black scoop, AND the reverse inlet from the stock '99-'01 Cobra hood.

and here come the pretenders...

Remember, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery...

at least the cdc cars (including their convertible version of the mach) are gt's...

except for their red mach which has the blown cobra engine in it...

CDC is the vendor. That has been well known since the prototype Mach 1 was shown.

From what I've heard, CDC is the vendor with whom Ford colloborated in the prototype stages. The shaker assembly in the production cars was designed by Ford engineers. I am not sure who actually manufactures the part, but a quick look at both of these does show they are different in the air box and tube to the air filter section.

Yup. Starting in '03 the stock v6 hood is the same single reverse hood as the '99-'01 Cobra. You can get the pony package though, which is the original v6/ GT hood with the GT scoop and those huge running pony decals on the doors, and some other minor appearance stuff.

CDC has since folded back the mods Ford engineers came up with, and now include them in their "updated" kits.
