I really need to move.
( rant on ) As much as I loathe it, I've come to accept the fact that I live in "rice central". I've lost count of how many fart can equipped cars there are within just a few blocks. Any given night the entire area sounds like an a huge flock of mutant mosquitoes is running rampant.
Anyway, a new couple moved into the vacant apartment down the hall. I've seen them but haven't spoken with them until today. I had the Mach just outside the garage so I could quick wash and wax it before the rain started. The new guy came walking by and started up a converstaion. New guy - Hey....I had a car like this one a while ago. Me - Really? What year? New guy - It was an '84. A Mach1, just like this one. Me - Umm, I don't think that they made Mach1s in '84. I think you had a GT. New guy - No, it was Mach1. It had t-tops, man!!! It was a Mach1. Me - So you're saying that because it had t-tops, it was a Mach1? New guy - Yeah man. All Mach1's have t-tops. Ask anyone. Me - Well I'll just have to ask the dealer for some of my money back, because I must not have a Mach1. I really don't expect everyone to know everything about these cars, but I got a laugh out of it. |

Re: I really need to move.
Should've pointed him to the Registry and told him to do his research before shooting off his mouth like he's an expert.
You can't escape the Rice invasion by moving. They're everywhere. The planet is infested with them. But you can at least out run them. |

Re: I really need to move.
He probably had a '74 Mustang II. Just too embarrased to admit it.

Re: I really need to move.
What makes it worse is seeing them all winter long while the Mach is sleeping. Your useless to defend yourself.
Wisconsin I think isn't much different than any other infested state out there.

Re: I really need to move.
Out here in Central PA we have a natural way of lowering the ricer population...bad roads!!! It's hilarious to see some kid rice out his civic with a body kit and a lowering kit. A month later you see his car with the body kit busted up from all the potholes and dips/humps in the roads.....That's one reason I won't lower my Mach. I already have to be careful in certain areas that I don't scrape the chin spoiler at stock height.

Re: I really need to move.
They're everywhere. Moving won't help.
And remember, there's no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people that ask questions. I had almost the same conversation with some guy in a 7-11 lot. "Yeah, I used to have one of these", he kept saying. "What year was it", I ask, thinking 69, 70 . . . No, his was an '87.
