CNC'd Livernois Motorsports DOHC heads

Just was at Detroit Speed Shops today and was checking out the display DOHC CNC heads, WOW!!!! As soon as my car develops a tick or what not, Im having them done. Heads with exchange are 2000.00, but the ports are huge!!! I bet they would really rock and roll with a set of big bumpsticks or even a power adder. Im really tempted, they just look so impressive. Any one else used or have seen them before? What kind of numbers do they produce. I love the 4valve

Re: CNC'd Livernois Motorsports DOHC heads

how much would one gain with just the Livernois Heads or Patriot heads? Also how would the FR500 cam kit work with these babies?

I would have to dissagree with that statement. Both heads flow within a few cfm of each other. Below is a link to the thread about the first set of Livernois CNC heads...

http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...ad.php?t=42060

The Livernois CNC heads are currently on my car and I picked up 60rwhp and 60rwtq with the heads and a stroker. Those numbers would be higher in a stick car. My car hides alot of hp and tq on the dyno due to the non-lockup high stall converter.

Re: CNC'd Livernois Motorsports DOHC heads

Would it even be worth while putting them on a stock car? Seems to me you would need to do cams at least to take advantage of them.

Hard to say...the stock heads flow pretty well. I would think you would need to enhance the breathing of you car either via a turbo, blower, or even a set of cams to really take advantage of the port work. I would guess a 25-30rwhp gain NA...that seems like a lot of cash for 30hp...plus the amount of labor and work to put the heads on. Save up for a blower and install it yourself.

Re: CNC'd Livernois Motorsports DOHC heads

Hey cmylxgo- how would the FR500 complete cam kit from Ford Racing work with these heads? Thanks for all that good info!
