Low Mach Dyno??
I know every Mach is different, but what is the lowest hp any of you have ever seen a stock 03/04 5 speed Mach dyno?
I'm just curious cause I currently have the K&N FIPK (no stalling) and I'm getting ready to install a Mac Prochamber w/cats, Magnaflow cat back and have it dyno tuned using my Diablo Predator......should I see close to 300rwhp??

Re: Low Mach Dyno??
I had something close to your setup and with the Diablo tune it only pulled 277rwhp. With the custom dyno tune we got another 20hp or uped it to 297rwhp. Mine had really sensitive knock sensors and they kept pulling timing out. We had to reduce thier sensitivity by 30% to make the 297. Oh and the daytime conditions were about 93 degrees and very humid on a July day in Florida all on a Mustang Dyno. Dynojet would put you over.
Good luck!

Re: Low Mach Dyno??
256hp....wow that seems kinda low for a Mach. It trips me out how every single Mach is different. Some guys might just have freaks! I'm really hoping to get close to 300rwhp, but we'll see. At least if I get the dyno tune I'll have a baseline and the data to get a good custom tune if needed.

Re: Low Mach Dyno??
hey jj, I see your on here too. I just got my JLT installed and putting on an o/r hpipe next friday. Need to make an appointment with the local tuner here to get a custom tune. Hopefully I crack the 300 rwhp barrier too.

Re: Low Mach Dyno??
292RWHP and 319TRQ with just an Aircharger! ****, those are amazing numbers. You got a freak Mach! That's sweet man. I would for sure be happy with 292RWHP.
Swervo it's nice to see a fellow Mach owner on that other site as well. How do you like your JLT? I looked at that system also, but I really wanted to keep the shaker functional. I went with the K&N and to date I haven't had any problems with it so that's cool. What else are you planning on doing to the Mach?

Re: Low Mach Dyno??
This thread is interesting to me because any who may recall may remember more than a year ago when I posted about how my 5-speed Mach had gone 262RWHP and 294RWTQ (SAE) and that (to me) seemed to be low on the power scale. Two other local Machs had gone 272RWHP and 282RWHP on the same dyno bone stock. I always felt that my car was down on power but it does seem to be in the ballpark with some of the numbers discussed here. I admit that some Machs seem to come from the factory stronger than others but perhaps my 262/294 is not all that bad after all.

Re: Low Mach Dyno??
Ya gotta also remember that the weather / humidity / how hot the car is will affect it.

Re: Low Mach Dyno??
That's a good point. I forgot the conditions would affect the dyno. So for instance SteelwingDSG would a Mach at sea level dyno better than Mach at 3,000-4,000 ft above sea level?? I also live in the SF Bay Area where we don't have the humidity like other places in the country..... can that make the dyno numbers a little higher?

Re: Low Mach Dyno??
That's cool man. I'm in the same boat with getting stuff installed.....I still haven't got the magnaflow cat back and Mac Prochamber w/cats installed yet. I'm trying to find time where I can either have it tuned the same day or at least the next day.
As for future mods I might get some full length sub frame connectors and PHP intake spacer be done with it. ha ha ha.....yeah right man, modding in an addiction.
