prochamber arrived, questions?

they sent no instructions, and i have 1 gasket, is this norm? figured should be 2 gaskets, guess once i get under the car. and start removing the stock pipe, should be self explanatory on how this one fits together. anyone have any tips to make the install smooth.

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

That is normal for a single seal. The drivers side does not have a gasket and I reused the passenger side gasket. For removal: Lube the nuts holding your h-pipe to the exhaust manifolds and let them sit at least a half an hour. Unbolt your catbac from your h-pipe. Loosen and remove all four of your O2 sensors from your h-pipe. Take off the nuts that are holding your h-pipe to your exhaust manifolds and your pipe should just drop out. Makes sure your car is high enuff up in the air that you can slide it out from under the car. Install is easy! Slide your left and right side P/C pipes up to your manifold and losely tighten the nuts to hold them on. Screw in all the studs into the prochamber flanges (pipes to chamber and chamber to catbac). Slide the chamber under the car and loosely bolt to the down pipes and then loosely to the catbac. I used a floor jack and pushed up on the chamber to get additional ground clearance (my car has been lowered 1.5"). Tighten up the nuts that hold the pipes to the manifolds, then to the chamber, and finally to the catbac. Install your O2 sensors and crank her up and check for leaks. I will warn you that even though I have an 03 the top O2 sensor wires on each side were barely long enough to reach the bungs. I had to unclip the wires from a holder on the drivers side for the sensor to reach. Also put antiseize on all bolts/studs. This will make removal/adjustments easier in the future. BTW did you go off road? It took me about an hour to complete with the front on jack stands. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

Its easier to unplug the 02 sensors and swap them out once the stock H pipe is off the car.

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

my stock h-pipe had no gasket on either side? should i still use the gasket they supplied, and does it go between the manifold and the prochamber?

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

The passenger side has a very thin metal gasket, check to see if it is there. I reused mine without any problems but you may want to replace it just to be safe. I did not use the Mac gasket that came with my chamber.

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

mil's didnt arrive today as expected. one to put the pipe on, then put the mil's on next, do i put all four 02 sensors on the new pipe? then the mils connect to the end of the back ones, is this how they work, and will the car run ok w/out them until they arrive? thanks. also assume i am to reuse some of the stock nuts as they only sent 8.seems there should be sixteen, one for each side of the bolts that go into putting the 3 pc pipe together? also any advice on finding the clips to unhook the o2 sensor wire on the driver side, as i am havin a ***** of a time getting it hooked back up.

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

If memory serves me right, the studs screw into the one side of the flanges and no nuts go on them. Then I believe the chamber goes onto those studs and the nuts secure the chamber to the pipes. Next time I am under the car I will look to make sure.

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

I am looking to buy a prochamber but can't seem to find one online. I've checked ninosport and rpmoutlet and it seems no one sells these anymore. I would like to get the o/r version plus the cat legs to make inspections a bit easier. Can someone please point me to a website where I can order this?

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

Thanks, I'll check out blueovalperformance.

cat legs are just the cats that can be bolted in inplace of the offroad pipes making the prochamber smog leagal. I once saw a website that listed the prochamber and also sold the offroad legs and catted legs seperately. For me this would make anual inspections much easier.

Re: prochamber arrived, questions?

make sure to wear your safety goggles. I had to take my friend to the hospital because he got a tiny piece of rust in his eye. It is a ***** job even with 4 jack stands. If i were you i would at least get another 2 or take it to a shop to be honest.
