Prices on F-1 GS D3 tires? - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Looking for a little help here on prices. My skatorbacks are going bye bye and I want to replace them with the Goodyear F-1 GS D3's. My local goodyear tire guy want $275@ for the 245 x 45 x 17's and $315 for the 275 x 35 x 17's. This does not include mounting, balancing and those pricey hard to find valve stems! What would be a fair price for these tires and does it pay to have them shipped from an internet supplier? I need at least a pair on the back asap and will get the other two for the front next month. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks for reading and responding.

Are these prices each or for the pair? Discounttiredirect has the 245x45x17's for $189 a piece and the 275x40x17 for $203 a piece. If those are quotes per tire then you are getting ripped off. Their shipping would be like $50.

Tirerack has them for about $26 cheaper for all four than discounttiredirect. And shipping would be around $25.

Tirerack definitely has the best prices. Discount tires is right behind them. Just remember that you will pay for mounting and balancing also.

Shop around. I just paid a little over $900 for a set of GS-D3s mounted and balanced at Americas Tires (two 285s and two 255s). Get the internet pricing and take paper copies to Americas Tire, or some other place. Some places will do their best to match the pricing (other places will blow you off).

I got mine for $190/each for the 275's and $270/ each for the 315's. From MRT direct.

Thanks for the infor folks. I went with tirerack and got a pair delivered to the house for $440. I'll bring em down to my buddies shop and mount them for nada all by myself. I couldn't believe the run around this guy at the new goodyear store was giving me. First he couldn't even get me the tires until next week and then he was giving the stiff price and finally the mount, balance and valve stem routine at $18 a tire. Too much Bozo!
