my mods + dyno #s

hey guys,
I recently had my car tuned at performance dyno in concord, NH. The graph is attached.

My peak was actually 291/310, but we decided to back the timing off a bit because the graph was smoother this way.
I figure assuming a 15% drivetrain loss, i'm at around 340/345 at the engine, which is around where i expected to be given the mods i have on the car.
I have learned two things:

1) if you do exhaust/intake mods, PLEASE go get the car tuned. my knock sensor was going crazy and taking timing out of the car all over the place before the car was tuned. Check out the huge hump in my a/f around 4.5k, and look at the effect it had on my power...the engine never recovered from that lean condition, brought on probably by my K&N. Basically, uning the car is the only way to get the advertised HP from the bolt-ons.

2) Pete and eddie at performance dyno are stand up gentlemen with deep knowledge about the mach 1, their dyno equipment, and peformance cars in general. I highly recommend them to anyone in the NE area who needs a dyno or tune. Pete's handle is 69redmach1 and his site is:

The dyno sheet really makes the case for tuning when the mods start piling up. It seems to me that it's truly worth the cost. I'm most impressed by the gain in overall area, rather than peak numbers- what a difference in the 4500-5000 range! Dyno tune= maximum power gains + safety.

jason,
the tune is 399. This includes the SCT chip as well as however many pulls on the dyno you need to get the car tuned, which in my case was about 6. The whole process takes two hours and eddie/pete have you drive the car on the dyno, which is pretty **** fun.
I don't know if you know, but the SCT chip has a rotary switch whic you can mount in your glove box or whereever that lets you run different programs. the program I run pegs my rpm at 3500 when the car is at a stop so I can launch it. it's sweet.
good luck, and be sure to post your #s when you get them!
Rich

Haven't taken the car to the track, and i have the winter tires on now so that will have to wait until the spring.
I'm in brookline, but i went to school at tufts (your neck of the woods). We should get together for a beer sometime!

yeah, i'm not looking to grab every hp out of the car, just wanted a good sounding muscle car with an increase in seat-of-the-pants feel over stock. I'm very happy with what i ended up with!
I think i'll be even happier when i get my hands on an '07 cobra...
