That sucks. I don't think it will be totaled, but can't tell how bad the subframe damage is. The sad part is the insurance rates you will have now.

if it is totaled I would buy it back and repair it over time, then turn it into a mean machine when the funds increase. Even if it's not totaled it will never be the same... either way try to keep the car.

Are you a victim of the stock tires?

apparently so. plus dirt on the street and a little too much gas.

Damm CoolBlueMACH sorry about that. Hell I was still hoping to run into one day so I could hear your Borla. Maybe we can set something up after you get her repaired.

Contact your insurance agent. Find out what reputable body shops in your area work with claims through your insurance company. Make an appointment and take your car to a shop. Get the damage estimated. If totaled, you'll have the option to purchase the car back @ the same price the insurance company would charge a salvage yard. If not totaled, get the body shop to fix the damages on the car through your insurance company.

--This is all assuming you have full coverage.

Good luck.

I don't think it's totalled but it's hard to tell from angle of the picture. I write quite a few estimates and it does not look like it got into the uni-rail or apron. If it hit the tree hard enough to push the rail back your car may have a diamond/twist condition- then it's toast. How much of a difference is there in the right and left door gaps where they meet the quarter? It looks like it is primarily suspension/k member damage. Make sure you pick a shop that has a laser aligned frame rack (Shark, Genesis, or Kansas Jack) Your car will be straighter than when it rolled off the assembly line if one of those systems are used.

Good Luck.

Not sure that if it is totalled, you want to purchase it. Most insurance co.'s will have the title branded as salvage if they total it. Even if you keep it. Repair it then try to sell it with a salvage title, may be difficult if not impossible. Most states changed the laws a number of years ago to stop salvage rebuilds from being able to get a clean title to protect purchasers down the line. The car doesn't look totaled, but from that photo, it is hard to tell. Good luck and get ready to pay through the nose on your insurance premium.

Seems the blue ones have a vendetta with those trees. I had a similar incounter on my right rear. (the sensation of flight in reverse never feels good)

My advice, move somewhere where there aren't any trees.

Don't worry about the car from what I see in the picture it should fine. It is your insurance you need to worry about.

I'm with you, bro. I know how it is.

Here's what you'll need to get at MINIMUM:

New fender
New rim
New tire
New strut
New strut tower brace
New fender well cover
New emblem
New headlight
New bumper cover
New bumper cover mounting bracket
New tie rod
New spring
New brake / caliper / etc
New chin spoiler

You're looking at about 4000 grand in parts + another 4 - 5 in labor TOPS. Most things you can do yourself if you're so inclined.

Don't worry about it TOO MUCH.
Just remember, mine was worse and it's gonna be just fine.
Does your engine still run? Does it rev up? Can you turn the wheel and your surviving tire turns?

PS: And don't let any assholes give you a hard time about this. We all make mistakes, the best we can do is learn from them and become better people. If anyone gives you a hard time just remember that Karma is a ***** and she keeps having puppies.

If the driver door closes cleanly and the panel gaps are the same it's almost definitely repairable - however the front end is designed to crumple on impact, so a big frame straightening job is not out of the question... as smontgo says your car could end up straighter than new - so probably no worries as far as car goes.

Now - repeat after me - I MUST GET BETTER TIRES (and slow down near trees)
