Sounded like a "Pro Gun" thread to me, so I thought I'd just "Stir The Pot" a little.

Q: How many NRA members does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: Three--One to give up the old bulb when they pry it from his cold dead fingers, one to screw it in and pose for an "I'm the NRA" ad while doing so, and one to complain about the waiting period.

Guns were used to set America free, guns keep American free. Not to mention keeping the government in line. Without the right to bear arms, the government would own us. Just look overseas for the lesson.

Yes, NRA member here and proud of it! Just looked at my card, I'm good till 2007! :HOPPY:

Just for your info blackmach, it hasn't been legal for the average citizen to legally buy an automatic weapon since the early 1930's. There was a ban imposed then because of the likes of Bonnie and Clyde, etc. Only those few individuals, since then, who was given a special liscense by the ATF dept. , could legally buy and sell automatic weapons to other liscenced individuals or merchants. There has always been and will always be two sides of the political propoganda street. I for one am a liscenced instructor, have my CCP, and I also believe in my 2nd amendment right. Later; peace out.

Your kidding right? Guns alone did not keep us from being taken over the 2 times the British tried, it was the government forces as well as the militia that accomplished that.

Without organized resistance and much deadlier weapons than handguns & rifles, the common armed citizen wouldn't stand a chance against government forces. If you believe firearms in everyones hands will protect you from the government, than you must also believe the war in Iraq is unwinable.

And as for protecting ones self from terrorists, how can firearms protect you against a biological or nuclear attack?

Dont worry, BlackMAch is just trying to make up for,

1) Having his undies pulled up around his head
2) Being pushed down in the school yard.
3) Crying in public after being pushed down in the schoolyard.
4) Wetting him/herself after being pushed down in the school yard.
5) No date to the prom.
6) Being picked on by all the "baddies".
7) Living with mom until mid 20's/early 30's.
8) Not being cool in "real life".
9) Not having any experience with real guns.
10) Having those "awkward feelings" about his/her best friend that nobody knows about.

Snappy comeback there, home schooled, right?

I had no problems in school, was popular, and went to both my junior and senor prom. As a matter of fact we would hang people like you from their underwear on coat hooks almost weekly. In addition, I was also a member of my high school rifle team, and wasn't half bad if I say so myself. By the way, your Mom say's hi.
