Question Is this being too an*l?

Do any of you smoke, eat or drink in your Mach? I know when I had my explorer I smoked tons, ate food and drank a lot and never spilled anything or burned the interior but I just can't bring myself to do anything but drive in the mach because of the genuine interior. Is this too an*l or am I just disciplined

No that is not to anal. I don't smoke so I dont have to worry about that. I would never allow anyone to smoke in my mach. Smoking in a car is the worst thing you could do. I do drink in the mach (not alchohol lol). It is very rare that I eat in the mach, even though I have. But when I do I am very careful. It is vaccumed out regulary to not a problem. I kinda think not drinking anything in the mach is a little anal. There is a reason you have cupholders.

You are probably right but I think having a 5spd makes it more complicated. Just think though if you had a taco or cup of coffee and had to stop suddenly.....

Being a non smoker that is a non issue. No eating but on occasion when driving on extended hwy trips drinking (no beer etc.) I have done. Not around town usually as mentioned above the sudden stop thing is a worry. However there often is smoke being emitted from the rear of the vechile (ie tires)

interior habits in mad machs

I do not eat..in any auto..as for a smoke...yes..ashamed to say so, but have been thinking it is too difficult to do while pounding the gears, so cigs. may go for good, also a good reason to quit.

as for a cold " beverage".....yes indeed...was first stop after i took delivery..threw in a favorite cd and cruised sippin my favorite
beverage..sort of a deal i have...a similiar to champagne on bow of a boat.

All take care....watch your mirrors...and smile at the world of people who are jealous at a stoplight..of our wonderful found autos.

Sincerely,

Jack of Long Island

I'm a smoker and have never smoked in the Mach but most of my driving has been around town. The real test was last weekend on 650 mile trip each way to S Carolina. But guess what... I never smoked in her still and just stopped at rest stops along the way which also gave me the pleasure of winding through the gears when leaving the rest stops. I love the new car smell and want to keep it as long as possible

So if your anal then so am I

How's this for anal.........

I insist on driving the Mach as often as possible (still trying to get 500 miles on her so I can start romping on her!!!) so I take the wife and kids with me. NO FOOD, NO DRINKS (we don't smoke), and I shake the kids down to make sure they don't have any crumbs on board....
Then I put a towel behind where they sit so their child seats won't mess up the seat.....(they are 7 and 4). THEN, as if that isn't enough, I tuck another towel under the headrest of each seat so that it drapes down the back of the seats.....this way the kids can't get their feet all over the back of the seat......

My wife thinks I'm nuts but hey.......ITS A MACH BABY!!!!!

No smoking in the Mach, but I will eventually eat in it, I figure. One night I did a food run for some friends that were putting in an engine (in a truck) and I'm leaving Taco Bell being very careful with shifting smooth and accelerating nice and easy. I had this 32 oz. drink in my cup holder. Well It figures an Evolution 8 with a car load of high schooler's (it appeared) would want to do one of those fly by's after I smiled over at them at the light. I was only slightly irritated I couldn't run them until a passenger turns around and flips me off. I think it was some girl. WTF? I guess they think they beat me. I was driving like my grandmother!
She's not the little ol' lady from Pasadena either.

No smokin'. I've eaten a sandwich or two during road trips, but never around town. Because of the cupholders' placement so close to the shifter, I usually don't drink in it but more for convenience than out of fear of spilling... when I do drink in the car, I usually try to get it down to 2/3 before even getting in, then it's much less likely to spill over.

No smoking (I stopped a while ago long before the Mach). One reason was because I burned a hole in the seat of my truck. I was so mad I stopped the next week.

No food but I do drinks. Sorry can't stand a long roadtrip without a drink.
