Re: My newest mod...

Looks awesome. One of the only things I don't like about the Boss 302's is the tiny lip spoiler. Pretty sure it provides -5 lbs of downforce. I know some like "less is more," but the Laguna Seca's got the pedestal wing which I think looks 10x better, even if only slightly functional.

Re: My newest mod...

Thanks all! I hope to get to putting a good cleaning on it this weekend. Got to drive it some today, mostly to get tags. Of course it rained...heavily.
A few observations:
This thing is fast.
It feels bigger than the Mach, not as 'intimate'.
It sounds great, even with the stock quad-pipe exhaust.
I keep forgetting there is a sixth gear to be had.
I hate the seat belt latch.
Recaro seat are awesome.
Somehow, some way, this thing is going to get me into trouble...

Re: My newest mod...

Nice car you found, John! I hope it's an addition and not a replacement.

After driving several Coyote cars, it's nothing like a Mach or pre s197 chassis car. Much larger and cushy-er. But that makes for a better everyday car. Congrats!

Same thought here. If I owned a Boss I'd put a black roush wing on it.

So are you keeping the Mach 1 too?

Re: My newest mod...

The intent is to keep the Mach 1, and finally perform some much needed maintenance...a light restoration if you will.
I do agree that the LS/ GT-CS wing is much better looking, but this is what it came with, so I'll leave it as is.
The original side pipe baffles were replaced before I got the car with ones that had larger openings, but the factory ones were included as was the factory car cover and owners kit (COA, engraved key ring, posters, DVD etc....all the things we never got but should have when buying our Machs).
One thing many people don't realize is that the Boss 302 engine is actually called Road Runner, not Coyote. Of course, the Coyote never could catch the Road Runner. Now I know why!!!

Re: My newest mod...

Awesome John! Congratulations!!, good to see the theme carried on in the fleet of a special marque Mustang in the best color scheme haha. Look forward to seeing some more pics inside and engine bay/motor etc when you get a chance. Good to see your Mach in the background as well. Be interesting to hear your further comments as you get to "know her better"

I heard in Charlotte from a fellow Torch Red 03 Mach 1 owner that there are two colours for a Mustang, Red and Wrong. ... Just saying what he said...
