Thumbs down Ripped off by machgsxr

Well, I didn't see this one coming. I bought an eaton swap from him a couple of months ago. After getting my car and all the parts to the shop and the swap underway, my mechanic informs me that the lower caged pulley assembly's bearing was seized up. He was able to break it free, but it's still rough and has a serious wobble when spinning it by hand. After some reading I've found this is somewhat of a common issue. Most cobra guys just buy an aftermarket lower pulley setup and up the boost in this situation.

No big deal- I intentionally bought this eaton swap from machgsxr because he's a long time member here and has great feedback so getting him to honor the part didn't really worry me at first.

After letting machgsxr know what we found, he said that wobbling is normal for that part and that all the ones he's seen have wobbled.

My car is taking up a bay in the shop, so while I work out the details of what needs to happen with machgsxr, I immediately get on ebay and buy a replacement that has ZERO wobble and the bearing spins freely as it should. Ok got a good part. Good deal.

I inform machgsxr that I've already bought a replacement and ask what he'd like to do to rectify the situation. No response. No text. No pm. The only response I got from him after letting him know was by accident. He meant to text someone else right after I texted him but he sent it to me instead. At this point I know he's got his phone and is simply dodging me. I text him and tell him that if he's confident in the part that he should buy it back from me and sell it to someone else. No response.

Archie- if the time comes when you decide to do the right thing, I'll gladly take this post down. I'm a peaceful person and don't want bad blood with anyone. I don't know what you have going on in your life right now that would lead you to do this but it's not appreciated. The eaton swap is a costly endeavor, as you know, and I'm now another $330 into it because of this.

Oh this sucks ..hope you get it solved, part should be honored by the seller or the price lowered accordingly to purchase a replacement, here's to hoping he does the right thing

I've had several transactions buying and selling with him through the years and never had an issue.

So have I. That's why I trusted buying several thousand dollars worth of parts from him and was so blind-sided by what happened.

Wow, that's one reason people join a group like this. A group of like-minded people helping each other out when they can.......it's a great thing to be apart of. I hope he understands, you can do a lot of good without a lot of recognition or praise.......but when you do someone wrong, it's going to stick with you for a long time

I can understand "somewhat" how he may think the wobble is ok. I have seen several people "rig" up parts to work. Not saying it's right but possible in their mind it's usable. It's the fact that he purposely ignores you. Nothing pisses me off more than poor communication. I'm willing to work with anyone but if you ignore me I will pursue other options. Sucks it's happening with a member that's been on this forum for a long time.
