Just Beat a 2015

Went to my local 1/8th ,"Irwindale" and loe and behold my tuner shows up in a beautiful Deep Impact Blue 2015. He brought in a wheel man to drive it we didn't plan it but, we ended up side by side. The prep was absolute crap spinnig through all first and half of second. but I still managed to win. the ET's were crap but my 91.3mph trap beet his 84.32.
Sloppy race but just felt good to beet the first 2015 I've seen in person.

Re: Just Beat a 2015

Cool.

I stopped by HPP this week, someone dropped off a brand new 2015 for the twin turbo treatment. That car was really nice inside and out. Very impressed with the fitment of the interior. Makes me want to pick one up but not interested in returning to the days of car payments.

Exactly. Driving is huge. I've raced 3 coyotes. Beat 2 of them. And OP would cover me easily so I think he's got something for them.

Stock 2015 is high 12's so a lightly modded Mach1 should be a good match. It is a good bit lighter than the 2015 gt

Definitely, and while they are a beautiful machine they do have a slight sense of behemoth about them. Cockpit while full of bitchin toys looks kinda cramped, but then, I'm old school.
For me track prep and launch is everything. Driving helps too.

Hey Dave what is your tuners name? I remember Irwindale as an axle/trans breaking track.

My tuner is Eddie Rios at Addiction Motorsports, he's been in the Mustang mags a lot lately.
As to the axle/trans breaking track, you're probably thinking about the old Irwindale which was a 1/4 track on the other side of the freeway. I think its where the Miller brewery is now. This newer track is just an offshoot of Irwindale speedway. If you ever watched "Car Warriors" on TV, thats where Jimmie Shine used to test the cars. The'll prep it only if a TV show is filming or a manufacturer is testing. For TNT, you hope someone had recently spent some $$.

I used to race @ Irwy back in 2002-2005. I've heard of Eddie.

Re: Just Beat a 2015

Even when modded, there is still something great in seeing 10 year old driven cars check the new 40k dollar plus cars lol.
