NA BB/S 324" Dyno Results

Had my car tuned by Chris from Excessive Motorsports on Monday and couldn't be happier! The car runs great now after the rebuild and few changes that were made, very pleased with the results for a 93 only pump gas tune on 22 degrees timing.

Thanks! I honestly haven't had a chance to really get on it yet, I might be able to make it to the track this weekend though!

No problem! I'll post the entire graph this evening once I'm home. The runner length is 5"

Most of the mods are listed in my sig, do you want cam specs or what specifically would you like to know? I don't mind sharing

I'm curious about the details too. What heads? What cams? What compression ratio? What stroker kit and what block? Those are awesome numbers. You're going to have the coyote guys scratching their heads

Boss330 HCI is from Al Papitto, one of the original mod tuners. Bad ending and no longer in business, but his parts sure seem to still work!

CO Mack answered most of your questions machdude. The compression is 10:7 and it's a VT bottom end using a 4.6 WAP block. The downfall to having a bottom end from VT and Heads/Cams/Intake from Boss330 is that neither company is still around. I blew a head gasket last fall at the track and it damaged the passenger side head as well as the block. I had to have two custom sleeves made by Darton, the block decked, head welded and milled, and also a custom set of Cometic head gaskets made for this motor to go back together properly.

Thank you! The intake was made by Boss330 (Al Papitto) as well.

Re: NA BB/S 324" Dyno Results

Cool! Too bad they didnt pull higher, it looks like there was either a lot more in it or it ran out of fuel at the end. Unusual to drop off that fast with a 5" runner intake.

Re: NA BB/S 324" Dyno Results

Thank you for posting the graph.

I also am surprised to see the relatively low rpm roll off with a 5in intake. What are the cam specs?

Boooo on the STD units . Great numbers nonetheless.

Why the longer duration on the exhaust side?

I honestly don't know, when I purchased the car this motor combo was already together and after I ran a 10.97 @ 124 on the previous combo I figured it was setup pretty well. Lol

Re: NA BB/S 324" Dyno Results

I have a feeling the steep power drop was due to the throttle being cut back before the operator turned off the logging. The reason I say this is because even with the 226 cams the power should go relatively flat after they peak rather than dropping like a rock.

Longer runners would increase average power greatly if the RPMs are staying below 7000rpm.

Re: NA BB/S 324" Dyno Results

Take that thing back to the dyno and tell him to pull it to at least 7000 RPM and see how much power it's really making. They shut it down way too soon.
