Hurst Billet Plus FEEDBACK PLEASE!!

Been contemplating getting the hurst billet plus short shifter from American Muscle and now its on Clearance! I had an MGW and believe it or not i hated it, way too stiff. I just want something that is a hair firmer than stock and doesn't miss gears.

Anyone had any experience with this shifter?? Please respond ASAP!!! Thank you!!

I had the Hurst. I loved it. Hurst has 50 lever's to pick from to put the shifter just where you want it. Don't go Mickey Mouse go Hurst.

Installed mine a few years ago and love it.
Went with a 05 shaft because after researching it the one that is for our year car hits the radio in 5th gear.

Re: Hurst Billet Plus FEEDBACK PLEASE!!

I've had my MGW for at least 8 years and all other shifters feel like limp noodles in comparison. I love the slight resistance. To me it makes the shifts more positive feeling.

Russ is forming a posse. What's that, about 5 Hurst members now Russ?

Re: Hurst Billet Plus FEEDBACK PLEASE!!

I've had a Hurst Billet Plus for most of the cars life -- over 100K miles of driving on it now; it has held up well and I'm still very pleased. It looks stock but raises the pivot point to reduce the travel. It is firm; 2nd to third no lift shifts are made by pushing the shifter straight up and let the neutral finding spring move it over to find 3rd. I'm a fan of Cobra Bob's gasket set also. Good luck with whatever you decide.
