Daytona Beach - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Decided to come down to Daytona Beach for the weekend with my mom, sister and nephews. Spotted one Shelby Cobra from my hotel, it was an automatic (blasphemy). And one Yellow Mach 1 in downtown daytona area.

daytona is a pretty sweet place.

I drove my '93GT down to Daytona for a Nascar race about 15 years ago. It was alot of fun. I liked their beaches. Cruising down on the beach was cool.

The Daytona race I went to in '98 was a postponed 4th of July race because of the fires in Florida back then. They delayed the 4th of July race to October, and it was also the first night time race at Daytona. Also, the week of that race was also Biketoberfest in Daytona at the same time, so you had 250,000 Nascar fans plus all the thousands of bikers. It was crazy. A February or July race would be impossible for me. That's what was great about that October race.

That summer of '98 was crazy down here. There were wildfires all over the place, they evacuated Flagler County due to them.
