MGW Licence Plate Frames

Would anyone be interested in a group purchase on these frames. I have no idea how to go about this but I would like to get some. If anyone is interested maybe we could get something started. First we will have to see if MGW will go for it.

I may be interested but would want to know the price first. The frames are cool - but they are too expensive.

The price is my problem too. Although I think they will realy help with making the Licence Plates look like they belong. The only thing is I realy do not know how to go about setting this up. I assume I will call MGW and see if they are interested. Before i get to involved in this I was wondering if enough people would be interested. I will call MGW and see what they say.

Definately, and let us know. It seems by the number of replies though that not enough people are interested.

Here ya go. I think I'm going to paint the lockscrews black, as I hate that they're silver against a black frame.

I think I'd be in if the price were right. My plate looks kinda "naked" on the back of the Mach.....

I like these alot but have 2 problems with them.

1st is I would like MGW to make these in silver. We have alot of black on our cars already. Or at least color in the writing so it stands out. I wouldn't want to pay $100 for a pair and do it myself...doh.

2nd is that the mach 1 writing is so small and Mustang is so big...they need to be reversed. MHO

MGW advised against getting a frame for the front of the mach.

Why would they not want you to put one in the front. That is where I need it most. The bare plate looks stupid IMO.

I think its because of the weight of the bracket. Its very thick, at least half an inch of solid aluminum, and therefore its on the heavy side. Unless I'm mistaken someone told me the only thing that holds on a front plate is the skin of the bumper itself. I don't know if there's any way to bolster the support for a heavy bracket. You can't get your hand behind the bumper so I don't know how you'd do more than just drive screws into the skin on the cover.

I hope someone who has attached a front plate can give more detail on this because I need to permanently install the front plate on mine, and I've been apprehensive about doing so.

Now you want to do a groupe buy.

This was about my first add on. The frames are great and solid. I also got the security locks just to make it hard for someone that wanted my 04MACH1 plate.

MGW is pricey but they do make quality stuff. I have yet to be disappointed.

I just talked with MGW about this because I ordered a second one for the front for my mach. She talk with George at MGW and he said it was strictly a cosmetic issue with putting the bracket on the front.

They did say though that the security screws wouldn't work and that you would have to use some sort of locking screw/nut on it provided you can get behind the bumper.

So for now, I had them cancel the order (it was ready to ship today).

I have the MGW Triple Chrome one and it is great looking. When I ordered it I too thought the price was high, but once I got it and saw the quality the price didn't bother me anymore. I was surprised at how thick it was.....it blows away any other license plate frame in my opinion. MGW rocks.

Well B-Mach, have you checked with MGW? Just curious. I also think the front is where I need it most. I thought someone had one on the front.

Those do look nice, and yet the pice (like the $200 dollar gas tank door) is not allowing me to get one.
