V -6 6 speed auto 2013 Mustang Club of America Special ED. Same color as in the picture. I ordered every option there was. Mine will not have the fake side scoops or the little window luvers. 305 HP and 31 MPG That's what I'm talking about. I'm looking into the future as regular gas is running $6.00 a gallon in Canada now and don't want to be stuck with a gas hog and give my hard earned coin to the creeps that control the price.

Can't say I blame you on the V-6 choice, Russ. I test drove a pair of 2011's, one auto and one 6-speed and was very impressed. I would love to have one as a daily driver. I felt they would have given my '03 Mach a good run for the money. My '03 Mach was a great car and I could feel a link of heritage to my other Mustangs, especially my 1970 Mach 1. The 2011 and up Mustang platform is such a quantum leap in technology it is unbelievable.

Yeah, brother, I know it was hard giving up your Mach but I also know we've got to stay in step with the future and us old geysers got to stick together. I got your back man if anybody gives you any crap.

Enjoy your ride!

P.S.
You're right about the power in the Shelby's. Got my first ticket in 15 years a while back in the Shelby. The speed dropped from 70 to 55 along the interstate and he clocked me at 81 mph (glad I had slowed down). Of course as he walked up and saw the sheepish look on my face, the gray-hair on my head, and my wife fussing at me, he took pity on an old man and knocked it down to a 71 in a 55.

Re: By, By, Mach hello 2013 Mustang

Hate to see another yellow Mach moving along, but that looks like a fine new ride you have coming.

305 HP and 31 mpg. Very nice combination. More horsepower there than most V8s I've owned since the 70s. Plenty enough power. Heck, I usually can't even get to use all 200 horses in my GTI around town.

Best of luck with it.

OMG
When did Ford graft the grille from a RAM pickup onto the Mustang? That looks, well...maybe better in person.

Re: By, By, Mach hello 2013 Mustang

Congrats on the new Mustang Russ. Love the color and looks of the 2013. Will it come with the black on the hood and roof? I also want to see a side shot of those wheels. Getting a 2013 is like getting the 2004 before the big body style change. When I bought my 04 GT I had to choose between the 04 or the new redesigned 05. I choose the 04 because in my opinion they looked better. Sounds like you did the same.
You may need a new screen name and don't change it to CandyRed I'm sure whoever gets your Mach is getting a great car and is going to be thrilled with it, wish it were me. I wish you the best with the new Mustang and look forward to 2014 and seeing it in person.

Re: By, By, Mach hello 2013 Mustang

Congrats Russ. Once upon a time the v-6 car was not much of a substitute for the v-8's with bascially equivelant fuel mileage and the rough running 3.8 or 4.0's....

this new 3.7 is a great little engine. Driven the automatic car a few times and its a car I could own no problem. Especially for the Daily Driver thing.
I have always liked the MCOA edition since it first came out.

I also love that color...

epic fail.

if you drive 12k miles a year, the mpg difference in the 5.0 and v6 is about $280 a year....aka, nothing.
