So my ex cheated on me and she moved out. Before i left cali i made her take her stuff and i lockeand l locked up and l went back to nj. I had the only key. Since then shes been going in my house taking some of my stuff. All i know for sure is the kitchen table. My jeep n streetbike are in the garage. However she gets in she always leaves the window open and doors unlocked. She has a new place to live. I called the police but there is nothing they can do since shes on the lease though shes never paid for anything. Now i know i can file theft charges if anthing is missing but im aure i wont have much luck. My real concern is once i get back to cali i need to get her off the lease yet i have no clue where she is or how to get in touch with her. I prolly cant get a restrianing order since i have no proof. I havent even spoke to her in a month. I have no clue what to do. Any advice

Being on the lease gives her the right to be in the house unfortunately. Call your lanlord see what needs to be done to terminate the lease early and get it in your name only. Good luck, ive been there done that except we owned a house together, THAT was a pain in the arse !!!

Get hold of a locksmith that can install a 7- pin lock...I believe that's what it is. The average person or rookie locksmith isn't supposed to be able to pick it. You might want to talk face to face with a local locksmith where you are presently located and verify what I'm trying to described to you. Good luck!

any other recourse you guys can think of. I have pics but trying not to go that route. im sure i dont have it asbbad as some of you guys. Im about to stop paying rent and declare bankruptcy

Take pics of everything you own of value showing vin #'s, serial #'s ect... and the condition it is in. Then set up a "game" camera that will take a pic of anyone that walks up to the door. Should be all you will need if s**t get real lol. Small claims could end up being your friend.

You definatly need to get those locks changed. Dont you have anyone checking up on your place? Im way to protective of my stuff, hell id have someone live there till i got back.

If someone comes in my house when im sleeping then they arent gonna wake up! Landlord called me today and asked if i wanted to keep the place i told her i did last month and sent her the rent

honestly i dont know anyone is cali besides my exs fam. I have a gurl i met checking on my place 2 times a week. My dogs wont do anything cuz they know my ex. A rock and a hard place doesnt even explain this bs!

If you can take accountability for all your belongings, and who enters the house it really doesn't matter if they pile everything you own in the yard and burn it. Court will get you new **** and prolly more, wile you set back and enjoy the show.

I agree with you. It would be nice to keep someone from getting in your house wile your not home, but locks rarely stop a 5 year old from throwing a rock through a window. Let alone a pissed off ex.

That guy made A LOT of bad choices,(did you read the SVT thread?) I hate that happened to his car, but it could have been prevented.

I sure did and i have no clue what he could have been thinking. One thing i do know is you dont do what he did when your dealing with crazy people. Hes lucky thats all that happened. I personally woulda stayed inside and called the police.

thanks for the help guys. Im gonna be installing cameras and somhow ill get her off the lease! And of course ill be changing the locks. I know i dont have it as bad as some of you guys. Im jus trying to keep it from getting that far. My ex is broke and none of her family will help her out so im sure ill never actually get money for anything. It jus suxs knowing people are going throigh my house and im 3000 miles away and cant do a thing. Karma is a bytch and she will get hers if she messed with my stuff. All women are krazy! Not jus redheads!
