?s for prochrager guys - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

so i recetly got my d1sc on got it tuned made 539 on 12psi blah blah....ok anywho im running 4:10s now on my 275 street tires car just blows tires off till 4th pretty much...so im thinking these gears may be a lil to much.....i have 2 options...get me some 315s sticky mickys and do some upper and lower control...would that help me make some use of my gears...or should i go back to my 355 gear and get the sticky mickys and uper and lowers?.....this car goes see alot of track time also like to cruise around

i would do both, put the tires, lower/uppers, and drop back down the 3.55's or 3.73's
we are around the same power and i pretty much in first and romp on it breaks the tires loose, same thing with 2nd gear, 3rd works pretty good
i have upper/lower control arms and running 315 drag radials
so if that tells you anything

id try swapping control arms and get some tires for the track and see how like it before dumping a buncha money on gears and install

tires and suspension. 550 hp is fun as hell with 410s when it actually hooks.

Hey try hooking up a 4.30 with 550

. I'm putting a t56 in so with the taller first gear in the t56 I'm hoping the 4.30 will calm down some.

Do you daily drive the car, and does the car see rain?

I ran a 4.30 with my p1..BUT hell no without some sort of drag radial. GET tires first!

I agree with Ash...with the D1 and 12 psi you should have no problem with a lower gear getting into your powerband on the street. Personally I think that high of a gear on a FI car on the streets is just going to annihilate the tires. If you are racing it alot at the track than you might want to consider keeping the 4.10's and definitely upgrading your suspension either way!

I am currently running a P1SC-2 @ 10 psi, with the stock suspension and stock 3.55's, 315 30 18's Nitto Drag Radials (horrible for hook but got a sweet deal on them) and I cannot get anything to hook until 4th gear in this nice cooler weather!!!!

I make 536 and have 315/35/17 Toyo drag radials (comparable to 555r's) and I can get it to hook up decently on the street with the 4.10's I know a set of MT dr's would do wonders for it. I say good tires and go from there.

well wheels and tires just got here so ima throw them on soon when i get a day off lol..and then to the streets i go to see if i will be changing gears
