Any of you guys Auto Cross?

I was just wondering how a stock Mach would handle doing it. I have a couple of buddies that do it and there is an event this weekend I was contemplating doing. The suspension on my Mach is bone stock though.

Any advise or opinions?

Thanks
Greg

Sorry I can't answer your question, but I was thinking of trying my first autocross this Sunday...
Good luck, and get some videos..

Re: Any of you guys Auto Cross?

Get there early, walk the course as much as possible, preferably with someone experienced, get an instructor to ride with you as much as possible. A quick google search will give you more "1st day" tips. Don't forget food/water/sunscreen either. Most importantly, have fun.

As for the car, bump up your tire pressures. Especially the front. Stock suspension/alignment will have mega roll over and you don't want to totally rape your tires.

Re: Any of you guys Auto Cross?

Thanks TRmachwon, for the heads up. I have a couple of buddies that already do it locally so they can show me the ropes. I talked to one of them earlier today and he isnt going to make this weekends run, but the Oct 8th one instead. I think im just going to wait and go with him.

Unrealford - takes some pics and videos and let us know how you do!!

Re: Any of you guys Auto Cross?

I have a few suspension mods on my mach and it does very well in stock class. This year I have been quicker than several of the 5.0's and a Boss 302. I could probably drive the Boss 302 faster than my car tho. The new cars are a better platform + 100 more ponies

Do some searches on here for more info. There have been several national champs on this site in the past. Oh and have fun.
