RPMs drop and raise while in neutral. - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Ive heard something similar with the KN CAI I have on my Mach, but while coasting in neutral sometimes rpm will drop to about 400 then raise back up to 700 and sometimes drop a hair then raise a hair, no consistency really when in neutral unless I'm at a still. Any ideas possibly just tune needed...I have accufab TB and FIPK k&n cold air.

MAF Screen!

Tune the car or put it back in.

Or don't drive in neutral. Your lucky yours doesn't die, most will.

I don't have maf screen.. mine doesn't do it.. but I'm tuned

Numerous threads about this. Simplest fix, do not drive in neutral. Leave it in gear until the car has slowed down. Of course the fun starts when it dies and for a second or two you have no brakes.... But just let the clutch back out and it will restart and all will return to well.

Haha I guess I'll get a tune!! If it starts to drop to low I jus usually give it a little gas I can tell by sound when it's under 500 so I just tap the gas to keep RPMs up. Works for meow.

My car did this when the bolts for my jlt rai bolts to the maf fell out.. zipties hold it now and it never ran better.

Didn't one of my solutions say a tune fixes it? Thats why you don't have the issue.

I have MAF screen and it does it..

Calling to tuner tomorrow to see if they will stand behind their work... My e-mail tune had better driveability.

Mine had same issue after the tune, with a/c on and stuff. My tunner added what he called an ADDER. That fixed my problem right away
