Gt c-pillars

I have an excellent set of GT c pillars and was wanting to put em on the Mach. I just like how they rap around the rear glass (personal preference of mine). They look like they will fit right in place of the Mach 1 pillars... Anybody know anything about this?? Any fitment issues??? Ive heard of gt people using Mach pillars but they often have to do the glass they say to make it look right!?!? Any info is always appreciated.

Re: Gt c-pillars

Some Mach's made it off the assembly line with the GT C pillars installed. They should fit with zero issues.

Re: Gt c-pillars

I think it was something more to do with the curve on the glass not looking right with the pillars I think?!? Anyone know any Mach with the GT Pillars?

Re: Gt c-pillars

Ive got a set of gt glasses and some oxford white panels if your interested. The glasses are the same other than the blacked out parts. I think it would look better with the right glass though

Re: Gt c-pillars

Blacked out "dot matrix" on the glass is gt/mach and bullit specific. Shape and contour wise it's the same as far as the glass goes. Mach/Bullit C pillar will work on GT glass but the factory blacked out stamping on the glass is the wrong contour.

Re: Gt c-pillars

wow... kind of backward, but to each his own...

you can sell the mach c pillar for a pretty coin but id hold on to them if i were u.. i dont think the gt pillars follow the lines of the mach well.. if your looking at pics of cobras with gt pillars your car is gonna look different

Re: Gt c-pillars

I have the pillars and i got them just because i like how they wrap around and just like the look of them... Most people like the Mach pillar and after looking and listening to people say i would need to change glass makes it to much work... I actually dont like the shape around the window when i put one on to see. I guess ill just use the money on some bullit side scoops (deleted look.), thanks for all the help everyone

Re: Gt c-pillars

IMO the glass was the easy part to change when I put the Mach C pillars and glass in my GT. The glass has 4 studs coming off the back of it that go through the body and then the nuts hold the glass in...theres a strip of sealer that goes around the inside of the glass and its pretty strong, but it ususally stays on the glass, so all you have to do it take the 4 nuts off and lift a corner of the glass and pull and itll pop right out...

Re: Gt c-pillars

Yeah that doesnt sound to bad at all. I can prolly get more for my pillars and glass and have enough to paint my gt pillars white to match my Mach also.
