New tires rubbing fender

Need some assistance guys. Noticed my new 18x10 305/35 Nittos are rubbing my fender when i get into it hard. I have eibach super sport springs, brand new tokico hp shocks and brand new rear upper and lower control arms. Would a stiffer shock do it? What can i do to fix?

Should have posted here not in body section. My bad!

Re: New tires rubbing fender

Fender roller
heat gun

If you haven't seen one used, check some youtube videos out and be patient as to not crack the paint. In middle of working to fit 345s under with an IRS.

im going to change springs. i have the sportlines and they have the lightest spring rate. im gonna get the super sports and i think that with new isos will do the trick.

Stiffer shocks will do nothing for ride height, they only affect the rate at which the spring will compress and rebound.

You need new springs or roll the fender as previously stated.

FWIW I rolled my fenders using the heat gun and eastwood roller and it was a piece of cake!

Do a little home work and search in here about spring and their heights. I hate to see you spend money on a spring setup tht does not help you.

Re: New tires rubbing fender

well i bought new front and rear sway bars since appears to rub with body roll not bounce. if does not fix i will get the super sport springs which have a heavier progressive spring rate than the ones i have now. i want to make sure that rolling the fenders is the last option before doing. i dont like changing the body of my car. so yes perhaps this is the more expensive route but at minimum it can be info for those who try to lower car in future.

I had the H&R super sports with new poly iso's and my 18/295's rubbed. Every time I hit a big bump or drove up a steep incline at an angle the wheel well would cut my tires. Being stiffer they won't rub as easily due to bumps, but anytime you go at an inclined angle, your springs will compress, no matter what the spring rate, and your tires will get cut.

Every car is different though, so you may not have a problem, who knows. This is just my experience with the exact springs you are talking about getting.

Re: New tires rubbing fender

Why don't you want to roll the fenders? It's not noticeable and a lot cheaper. I'm just curious.

Road salt and moisture getting between the fender and body panel causing rust.
