1962 Chevy Impala SS 409. Yep, an honest to God 4-speed, dual quad, positraction 409! As I recall, that car was a beast to keep tuned, and just idling in the driveway, you could watch the gas gauge move! Of course gas was only $0.25 a gallon, so five bucks worth, and I was good for the whole night!

1st car i bought was my 2000 gt vert. had a vortech s trim and all the goodies.

took it back to stock and traded it in on the mach. mechanic from the dealership bought it and ended up wrecking and killing himself in it. i swore that car was cursed since it constantly had little issues with it the entire time i owned it.

1956 Mercury Montclair...bored & rebuilt 312..I paid $795 for it cash when I was 18 in 1961...I made it into a typical 50's teenagers car...dummy spots, spinner hubcaps, lowered by heating the coils (it kept dropping) Lake pipes out the side, Tiajuana tuck & roll interior, it was gorgeous green & white alternating! Exhaust cutout, B&M Hydro tranny, I loved the fenderskirts!

88 buick lesabre with their 3.8 V6. Paid 700 bucks for it. 8 months later blew a head gasket and sold it for 150 bucks. It was sweet, had pillowtop seats, reverse open hood (like a corvette) but was a total grandma car. Thats what I get since my parents told me I was going to buy my first car, and I was on my own for insurance and car payment. I looked at a 91 IROC Z but I didn't have a mullet so the lady wouldn't sell it to me

'73 Dodge Charger SE back in 1986. It had a 383 Magnum, Crager SSTs all around, BFG 295s in back, air shocks... man, that thing was rockin'! That thing nickle-and-dimed me to death, right up until I blew up the engine. Sold it in 1987, put the money towards an '85 Mustang GT, and I've been a Mustang guy ever since.

The first car I ever bought was a 1972 Monte Carlo, 350 auto. Paid $600 for it in 1986. I put long tube headers straight into cherry bombs, air shocks, mags, raised white letter tires. You know, the typical mid 80's muscle car look. A friend I used to car pool to college with called it the pressure chamber because of the exhaust pulsing in your ears while riding in it. Still one of my favorite cars I ever had. It quit running one day and we never did get it going again so I ended up giving it away free just to clear it out of the driveway without paying for a tow.

that bastid had over 212,000 miles when it got parked and never had the engine cracked open.

the first 'car' I bought was a 1997 Mustang with 6 miles on the clock.

1980 Mustang with inline 6 and tan plaid interior. POS. To sound the horn, you had to push in the on the turn signal stalk (nothing like road rage--"hey wait, let me mash on this stick!" Then the turn signal went out--I was too embarrassed to use hand signals, but I found if I manually moved the stalk up and down, I could "simulate" a turn signal.

Some gal slid on the ice past a stop sign into it about a year later---I actually smiled, it was a mercy killing. I think a cloud of dust hit the air when she t-boned me.

let's see, it was in 1969. I bought a green and white 1956 Chevy BelAir with a 265CID V8 oilbath 1bbl carb, three on the tree, dueled out with cherry bombs. for $125. I worked at Gibson's Discount Center for $1.65 per hour and paid for it $25 a week. great car after I got the wheels aligned at Monkey Wards for free. My best friends mom was the manager of the store. BTW - I threw away the hubcaps and painted the steel wheels black.

First car i paid off bymyself was my 2003 mach 1 (stock, 17K miles) got it for 18K back in 06.

My first car was a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3, I was 16 and FnF was big so I had major plans but no $, I did however have a large system in it that changed a lot til I got 2 RF Power HX2 12s they were the best subs I ever had. Parents paid for it but I paid for all the system stuff. Sadly I hydroplaned into a tree and gaurdrail but atleast it went down knockin til the battery disconnected.
