tinted vs smoked Headlights

So i wanted to start a poll on what ya'll think, i don't know if many have done the tint on the headlights that are precut and fit the headlights. or if ya'll have just got smoked headlight from like american muscle. if you have the tint ones hows it with the lights at night, i want to be able to see still very well. so just chime in, if you have pictures show em off and let me know what you think, thanks

where i would get the tinted ones from
http://www.autobadges.com/vinyldecals/

smoked headlights from american muscle
http://www.americanmuscle.com/sm99hewiclco.html

I just see a big price diff and just also wanted to know what ya'll thought

Re: tinted vs smoked Headlights

If you have HIDs, Theres not a problem with either. I had the vynil, and then got painted headlights. The vynil is fine, just can get a couple bubbles in it here and there with wind speed when your at high speeds, But never came off.

And you can wax the painted (aftermarket and not the ones from AmericanMuscle. The ones with the vht night shade.) I just waxed my headlights and tails

Yea i won't have HID's, that is what i'm worried bout painting or tint on there, taken down the view of my lights at night, didn't want it to be a big problem.

Re: tinted vs smoked Headlights

I'm thinkin i'll just save up the money or really they can be a bday or xmas gift from the wife, just get the smoke headlights and sell the stock ones, make alittle money off of them. thanks guys for the help.

i might in the end do HID's. i like how they light up the night and will just be alot better for driving,

keep posting pictures and if someone has a SY mach with the smoked headlights that would be great to see what it looks like

also be doing smoked fog lights here very soon

No I bought my car from a guy in Union City he was not black nor a member.I'm a white guy. Also yeas I bought it how it is except for the Cobra Jet Emblems. The front lights are tinted. I will be adding the intake spacer as soon as it arrives and puttting in the ISOS on the springs.

Re: tinted vs smoked Headlights

I like the look of the smoked lights clear corner and that is what I got, from American Muscle. Only issue is the driver side does not fit flush (top portion) with the fender, a long 3/8" gap.

Heard is it common with some aftermarket ones. Luck of the draw and I was unlucky LOL!

BTW, if you get smoked headlights, get the matching smoked/clear lens foglights, it looks way better!!!

Bumble bees are black and yellow. I hate bees.

But cosmetics are purely personal choice and if it floats your boat, then by all means

Autobadges blackout tint-

Not recommended for night driving with stock bulbs

I kinda screwed up the install so I took them off, but I loved the look despite teh reduced visibility.

Would love to do VHT with HID's at some point.
