Agree. Ford really stepped it up. It'll be hard making fun of the V6 guys now. Since they have nearly the same power stock as we do.

But I want that new 5-0 engine in my Mach!

I saw the Fart car listed as 41 mpg hwy. Ten mpg isn't NEAR enough of a payoff to live with the humiliation of being seen in a sh*tbox like that.

I wonder how much the crate engine will be and how repulsive it would be to swap one into an SN95 or perhaps a ranger. That would make a sweeet little commuter.

Wonder if its tune-able? Your right a few more ponies and it will match a stock Mach1, which WAS (is?) the second most powerful N/A V-8 Mustang built.

No it wont. As soon as they drive it off the lot it ll still be worth less than our Machs.

Hay guys I just traded in my Mach 1 on this beauty.

The salesman said it gets better milage than the 2011 Mustang 6.

It has more power too he said. The only thing that will take a little time to get used to is the pull start on 5 HP Briggs & Stratton.

Judging from all the stuff I read about this engine, it doesn't sound like Ford left too much on the table with this engine.

I think Ford did this 5.0 right. They fixed oil and cooling problems that were bothering our Mach 1s.I dont think there will be much room to mod in either the V8 or the 6. The V8 now has 11:1 Compression and crap rods and pistons.The electric power steering may be a problem for a crate motor swap though . The 6 is now maxed out too. But dont think no one wont try a Turbo on the 6 .
