Re: Downshift to 3rd gear @ 80MPH

I have never tried it. I don't see why it wouldn't go into third.

Re: Downshift to 3rd gear @ 80MPH

When my was new I had problems getting into third gear at higher rpms. But now that I've got a few miles on it (14K+) it seems to shift fine.

Re: Downshift to 3rd gear @ 80MPH

I've done it quite a few times, and with no problems. Since I am at 100+ mph on the track (all stock), it should be no problem. You do have a 5 spd, yes?

Re: Downshift to 3rd gear @ 80MPH

If you match your revs, an 80mph downshift into 3rd is quite easily accomplished...however if you're not matching the revs and just trying to jam it into 3rd and let off the clutch you are causing undue wear to your drivetrain...just a little food for thought...
