Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
Yes, that helped out a lot actually. Thanks for responding so quickly.
My personal taste was the H pipe and from the sounds of it, I'd like the interior noise of the H pipe better as well. What brand off road H pipe was that on your car in the test?

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
I want those 44's. I just wish I could weld them into my Magnapack catback and call it a day but it doesn't work like that because of the different in/out offsets and junk.

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
Hmmmm, interesting. Do you think an o/r h-pipe would sound similar?

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
Similar to the catted h-pipe? It should but just much louder. I haven't seen many o/r h-pipes with flows on this site. Most of the o/r h-pipes I've seen here are combined with straight through mufflers. I know there is someome on here with o/r h and super 44's. I've been wanting to hear it but haven't seen a sound clip of it yet.

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
Do you think welding Super 44's will work on the magnaflow cat back? (not the packs)

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
IDK. Mine are bigger than what comes on the actual cat back. They may have something to with it. I had to get them bigger so they would fit the stock exhaust.

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
Maybe that's why they sound deeper than mine.
Sounds great none the less! |

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
It's probably the x-pipe design. Bassani seems to have a design similar to BBK where the "X" is almost like a chamber instead of 2 pipes just running together like Pypes, UPR, VRS etc. Maybe that changes the sound.

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
You hear the way those 2 chambers pop and crackle on deceleration? Super 44's don't do that. At least on my set-up they don't. There's a little bit of that crackling sound but nowwhere near as much as the 2 chamber super 40's. I kinda wish they did.

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
OK, Here's a sound clip you might not heard before: Its a stock Mach1 with the stock exhaust, minus the h pipe, I removed H pipe and installed a Bassani Xpipe with cats, Manifolds and catback are original. I believe it sounds great, tell me what you think,

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
Cool, thanks. What really is the difference between the aluminized steel and stainless steel versions of the MAC catback? Is one more durable or sound better?

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here
The cobra one is made for an IRS so that wont work. We use the same cat back as the GT's.
