tire question for deep dish rims - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

hello all,
I need your advice. I currently have the deep dish black bullets on the mach (315 35 17) and need new tires on the rear. I want to go smaller. I currently have the Nittos 555's DR and looking for something for dry and wet, a daily driver basically. I am thinking of going with 275 40 17 or 285 40 17, rather not go that big since it costs more.
Does the 275 40 17 fit on a deep dish rim on the rear or do I have to go 285+?

thanks in advance guys...I know power,mods but dont know much on tires.

Sounds like Cost may be an issue as much as size............... Cant beat this for 98.00 for a 315/17. Also if you go to Specs in the middle of the page it will tell what size rim for what tire.....Hope this helps

thats what alot of us run is the sumi a cheap tire that is decent...
