Re: My new custom computer
I always used AMD, This is my first Intel, I have 3 or more computer subscriptions and they ALL praise the Intel and keep saying AMD is trying like Hell to play catch up with Intels new processors. Also if you look at some 4-6 grand gaming pcs, you will see they use Intel in most !!

Re: My new custom computer
I've been doing computer support for 20 years and that may be the coolest motherboard I've seen. I say may because that picture makes me think I've drank way to much and I'm actually sober.

What are the "street" prices on all those components? I'm thinking of building an HTPC.

Re: My new custom computer
For all those parts and among a few other items, parts added up to 1200.00 bucks, Not bad I figure considering you cant find a Dell or any store brand that even comes close to these specs for the price..

It plays Crysis, Call Of Duty 4, Medal Of Honor Airborne and Race '07 (The official World Touring Car Champoinship game) and FEAR really well. I am waiting impatiently for Far Cry 2 and Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty.

Re: My new custom computer
i wouldnt have used a MSI mobo...but thats personal preference
as far as intel vs. amd, it depends on what your computer is doing...the new quad core amd phenom's have been benching higher in gaming than intel's, but slower in raw power

Re: My new custom computer
AMD is in the lose right now, but I still prefer them (better prices). I'm not big on the case, but looks like a nice build.
