Re: All motor Mach.

All motor is a great idea for a mach 1!! Gears, bolt on's, suspension and you can get that car to run!!

After that you can start with the heads, cams, intake manifold..

Um.....really depends on your long term goal.

You want a high HP DD, a Quick DD, or a moderately high HP and fairly Quick DD.

I mean..there are bolt ons and gears...weight reduction, small shot of the juice if you want to visit track once ina while....MORE INFO SONNY!!

Re: All motor Mach.

I plan to stay NA for the life of my Mach, and plan to mod it as much as possible in the future as money allows, eventhough, I know it will be the most costly method, and I can get more power for cheaper going the laughing gas or turbo or supercharger route

start with you suspension! You would be suprised what the mach can do with traction. Gears. Short throw shifter. Lighten it up. Then once you maximize what you got. Build a motor. or spend 15K on a "cammer"

With a stock motor I would say no. Plus they hang pretty low.

Why? Judging by your dyno #s it doesn't look like they did you any good. I put down more rwhp and rwtq without the longtubes.

No sigh. I didnt mean to insult anyones car/mods. Its just that I have had both of my machs on the dyno at different times of the year. hot as hell and at about 60* one put down 297rwhpsae 317rwtqsae and the other put down 301 and 320. Both with off road h. The 297 was with flowmaster and 301 was with borlas. Both with C&L cold air intake. And different people tuning. Both done with a predator.

My long tubes and OR X that replaced my stock exhaust manifold and MRT catted Hpipe made a big improvement in my slowmatic. They also do not hang to low for me. My deep tranny pan is still the lowest part of the car.

Seems the FR500 intake suffers from the same problem as the stock Mach intake. MM&FF/Westech yanked the lid off of the FR500 intake (FAST system) and picked up something like 25hp versus with the lid in place. A spacer would help the FR500 too I bet.
