Swirls in paint
I have a pretty clean Mach 1 considering it has 68,000 miles on it but my paint has swirls in it. I clean it all the time and i've even tried waxing it a couple times. Do i need to have it buffed or how do i get the swirls out of the paint?

Re: Swirls in paint
id get the stuff from autogeek.net
I debated on whether or not investing in all the stuff to clean the car properly was worth it............when it was all said and done its more than worth the cash you spend to geta ll set up. besides that you can charge friends and what not to do theres too and get some money back haha

Re: Swirls in paint
If the swirls are light, you could use a Porter-Cable and Meguiar's #83, followed by a coat of wax.
Here's an example of light swirling (don't pay attention to the dust...the car was washed after this pic) These swirls were underneath the clear bra that the owner wanted to remove and replace after polishing the surface to swirl-free. The removal was a 3 hour project by itself (ugh) Polished out with Meguiar's #83 and my rotary All finished...I ended up getting a nice ride in this car. Wicked exhaust..it's the Challenge Stradale. Re: Swirls in paint
Wow! Beautiful Exotic! Nice work on removing the swirls. Thats exactly how my paint looks. Very nice paint job, just needs some buffing. May just take it to my g/f uncle and let him do it since he has a car shop anyways. thanks for all the input.

Re: Swirls in paint
Hey there you old Grizzly Bear! How's Texas? I've been busy trying to make a full-time business in the detail world. Right now, I have a BMW shop and a Ferrari service shop (which also does service for Bentley, Aston-Martin, Lamborghini and Viper).
Hopefully, these 2 folks will keep me in cars for the winter. Take care young man...good to see your happy keyboard out here. Toto |

Re: Swirls in paint
Hey if i have a buffer, put on wool pads, and get swirl remover will that work. It's not a high speed one and i tried to get rid of the swirls by using wax and buffing it like my friend said, but it didn't work and i think actually made more swirls. What else could i do if that wont work, because i don't have enough money to buy the stuff from autogeek.
