I haven't decided what I'm doing. We have 3 other vehicles.

But....as I get older and less interested in drag racing, my idea of the ideal Mustang is also changing. I would prefer one 200-300 lbs lighter than current model with IRS, about 350-400 HP from Twin Turbo 3.5 DOHC V6, and 6 speed manual. With very nice interior. Or small V 8 like new 4.0 400 HP M3. I drove one (M 3)recently....never been satisfied with my crude Mustang since. I'm also in process of building up a hi dollar (full Campagnolo Record) road bicycle. That eats up coin. If Mach 1 doesn't sell at reasonable price, will just keep it and trade it in on wife's or daughter's next car, about a $1000 saving on sales tax. No biggie.

I have a custom hardtail XC mountain bike, and I'm thinking about expanding to road riding with a Cervelo Soloist Carbon (a $3200 frame) with a Campy Record group (or building up a FS XC bike. The frame I have picked out for this runs over $2k.)

I've got over $4k in my mountain bike as it sits right now (frame and components), not to mention total from start to now is well over $7k (everything). I have a hard time giving biking and the Mach the fair share of coin. Biking seems to need more maintenance as I beat mine up on the trails, and gets more of the coin share. I know where you are at though, as I know biking. Campy ain't cheap. The best road setups are more than the best mountain setups for some odd reason.

Good luck with your sale and your Campy bike :ORANGE:

Re: For Sale FL....2003 Torch Red....23,000 miles

Although I'm 66, busy and retired, I still find time to ride 100-125 miles per week on our wonderful trail system here in Central Florida. That's a lot less than I used to ride when in top shape.
I actually have about 4 hi end bikes. And probably enough classic older Campagnolo parts to build several more bikes. Sometimes it seems to me I have as much money tied up in bicycles and hi end bicycle parts than I do in the 4 family cars we have. Tires for a bicycle can cost about as much as some car tires, and I usually buy them 10 at a time. Then with all the Ti cassettes and chainrings I switch around, it adds up. It's not difficult these days to get $6000-$8,000 in a bicycle....and I keep 4 running. I also have an older Cannondale XTR Mountain bike. So keep up your biking.

I'm not selling the Mach because of the expense, I'm just selling it because I'm kinda tired of the car scene. More interested in hiking and cycling. Just came back from Colorado biking. I think I'm about ready for an old man's car. maybe a BMW 5 series sedan or Infinity M 35 sedan, ....or something along those lines. Put the Mach money back into the stock market (where it came from) while it is down. My main problem is I haven't gotten motivated to do what it takes to sell it.

Sold on Auto Trader.

Those of you wishing to sell your car for a fair price should consider using Auto Trader. Take good pictures and they are easy to upload to your ad. Most of the similar cars you are competing against are cars on dealer lots, not give a way prices like you see on here.

My ad is still there if any of you wish to see how mine turned out. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...0000&cardist=0

Well.....I had grown tired of car stuff, and I have 3 other cars I can drive.

What got me motivated/moving on selling it was with the stock market down I just wanted to get the money back invested to get it back to what I spent for the car 4 1/2 years ago. I priced it to sell fairly fast.

I already own all that stuff.

This money will be speculated with. I like to go against the crowd for this kind of money. So bought 1200 shares of E Trade with the money. I'll probably buy and sell it many times in next few months and also be selling call options on it as well. With a little luck will get it back to $25,000-30,000 in next few months (maybe).

Right now looks likes a target rich environment! If you buy ETFC at 17 and hold till it returns to 24 you'll make a tidy 40% or you could buy/sell on the dips. Hope for that rising tide!!

With all this volatility, and stock trading, if the markets turn around and go back up soon, I think the brokers make a good "horse to ride". I believe ETFC is the best company in it's nich of the indusry.
