Gonna try some 15 inch Nitto DR's. Anyone using them?

I have used 275/40/17 Nitto 555r Drag Radial on stock rims, I have used 275/50/15 Hoosier Drag Radials on a 15 x 8 1/2 rim and also have used same size Mickey Thompson Drag Radial on same 15" rim.
The Hoosiers lasted me 4 race weekends!
The MT's are burnt down now and lasted me a lot more than 4. lol
So I am gonna try the Nitto 275/50/15 and see how they perform. I think with the extra side wall I can make them work. I am not in any competive drag racing series this year like I was last so I am more testing the waters to see how they are.

Anyone use a 15 inch Nitto 555r Drag Radial yet? Comments!

So far my best results were with the Hoosier's and then the MT and then the 17 Nitto. I am thinking the results will probably be the same with the 15 inch Nitto but will try it anyway.

Ive used the 16' inch nittos, (dunno how much that will help) and have not gotten much better than a 1.9-2.0 60' foot time...

Thanks for the input, I kind of figured they will not be that great but will try them anyway as they will be okay for the street. Thanks again

I'd go with the BFG drag radials. I've had this set on for over a year done some passes at the track and a few small burnouts, and the cars my daily driver and I still got just under half the tread left.

My 60' foot was 1.9, but that's mainly because I haven't been getting a good enough burn out on them. Even with the M/T ET streets I've only been getting about 1.8.

I just got a set of rim that are 15 by 10 with M/T streets. i had to shave my calipers in the rear. Did you have to for your 15 inchers?

Re: Gonna try some 15 inch Nitto DR's. Anyone using them?

Just got the Nittos on and they look good. I forgot how "street tire" they look. As posted I had the Hoosiers which resemble a slick and than the MT's which look a little closer to a street tire with 2 lines in them. lol
Will show some pics later. As far as my 15 inch rim setup I do not have any issues with the brakes or calipers on the back.
