F#*$ F#@! F$*!

so i was just out for a leisurely stroll this evening and got attacked....by a deer. i wouldnt be so mad if I hit the deer...but no, the DEER hit ME!!! it plowed right into the side the poor mach, crushed the drivers side fender, bent the door, and almost came in my window which was down. it was a massive deer...for the hunters out there it would have dressed at least 170#!!!!!!! i can some what laugh about it but im pretty pissed when you get down to it. i didnt find the deer unfortunately. the only blood trail it left was down the side of my baby. ill get pics up tomorrow when i take them to send to then insurance company. as for now..im gonna go get a shower, pop two tylenol pm's and wake up to a new day tomorrow!!! just watch out for th kamakazi deer out there.

Re: F#*$ F#@! F$*!

My biggest fear. I live in a very high deer community. And I leave my house at 9:15 at night to go to work. They are all beside the roads grazing and off 95 from Stafford to Woodbridge. I see 5 new kills everyday between work and home.

Re: F#*$ F#@! F$*!

Man that really sucks! I had a very similiar experience a couple of years ago. I was following another Mach owner down a very dark, narrow country road, and out of the corner of my eye I saw what I thought was an awfully big dog! Turns out it was a deer, and while it was running parallel with the road, all of a sudden it jumped the ditch, I slammed on the brakes, and hit it right in the soft underbelley, and it slid right across my hood, and went tumbling into the ditch on the opposite side of the road.

It got up, shook itself off, and took off through a field. Me, on the other hand, had to check my pants and seat cushion! Unlike you, I didn't get any damage to the car, other than a deer trail of saliva and some fur tufts caught in the corners of the fenders.

Point is, you have watch out for deer, especially this time of the year. They will change direction on you in a flash and do stuff that seems totally illogical, like run into the side of your car!

The worst time of year for vehicle to deer collisions is fall-winter. Breeding time and those suckas are trying to get laid!

Re: F#*$ F#@! F$*!

Deer are in my top 5 list of things that are stupid.

I feel your pain. Some lady rear ended my Mach a week ago and cracked my rear bumper.

The body shop has it fixed as of Wednesday and I'm picking it up tonight. I hope they did a perfect job!

Hang on to that car!

I had 2 collisions in mine within 6 weeks of each other. In the first one, I got rear-ended and had to have the rear bumper replaced. Then 6 weeks later, I accidentally went through a red light and collided with someone turning left (my fault). The front bumper, left front quarter panel, and headlight were all new.

After all that sadness, I love driving this car around today as much or more than when I first bought it 4 1/2 years ago.
