Lighting! The Mach may have an advantage from start. We ran them the night before the deal was done and the L pulled away from the Mach. Still though the Mach is a cool car and we wanted it. I do not regret the trade at all! I may get another L in the same Sonic blue that 64valves got. That is a good lookin' truck!

Don't shoot the messenger...........

Just tellin from experince. Once we got to 65-80 the L started to pull ahead. The L may be heavier but 80+ more ponies does help.
Those trucks will run some 13's.
They had some head problems to begin with. Some '99-01's had plugs popping out, not enough threads in the head I believe. Later models got more threads. 03-04 are the better L's to have IMO.

Wish I could find my slips but they got trashed when we cleaned out the glove box.

Re: bye mach.hello?

Just to add, I was driving the L and the misses was driving the Mach. She said she had the pedal to the floor, so................flame on.

We have more SRT10's than Lightnings in this area, my experience is the same. The trucks seem to run about the same and both are no match for the 13.35 my mach1 ran f/s. Both of the trucks seem to do well with mods.

I like the Blue Lightning, very nice.

Re: bye mach.hello?

Lightning will run 13s stock down here. Not during the summer usually, but a friend of mine ran 13.6 bone stock. He added a Borla catback, a 4lb lower and a tuner and ran 12.8. For big vehicles they move.

A good friend just blew a plug out a few weeks ago. You would think Ford would have a TSB or recall on those heads. Would any of you guys with Lightnings know of any good websites for Lightning owners specifically.

Oh yea his definately seems faster than my Mach (just seat of the pants)

I think they did, or atleast when it did happen they would take care of it. If he has not contacted Ford he should. May get some help.
