Making a Ricer Owner Jealous

First off, I live in an apartment building with a few more apartment buildings around me. I go out to wash the Mach today and off to the right there was a younger guy (early 20'S) showing off his Honda Prelude all riced out to his friend and a couple of older guys. Once they seen me pull the Mach out of the garage, all of them walked over to look at the Mach. Needless to say the ricer owner was a little upset that they walked over to look at my car rather then his but he followed anyway. His friend and other couple of guys were admiring the body lines, hood, shaker hood, and engine. Then the ricer guy says, "not a bad car but I would much rather have my car (the Honda) then just a decked out GT. I told him it was a Mach 1 and he said to me "whatever, they haven't made them for years". I tried to tell him they made them in '03 and '04 but he didn't believe me. One of the older guys asked for a ride and then the young guy with the Honda said my car was junk and stormed away. I just laughed and got in the car. Some people just are not worth talking to. BTW, the guy I gave a ride to just loved the car (of course). Just a little incident concerning a ricer I thought I would share with everyone.

Thats sad that some people just can't appreciate an American legend such as our Mach's.

Re: Making a Ricer Owner Jealous

some people just have no taste.....

Im sure giving that guy a ride will lead him to rubbing it in how theres no way the others guy car is as fast as the mach.

I love when people accuse it of being a "GT with a hole in the hood"....funny how that changes when the right foot goes down!

That would be awesome if he wanted a ride cause then he wouldn't be talking so much BS .

Besides, he has all those power adding stickers,
and all you have is a bigger engine, and a REAL AMERICAN muscle car.

Not to mention he has the ground effects. It makes the car lower so less wind gets under the car.

My GT swap car (since sold to shame302) and my Mach get GREAT mpg.
Heck, I was shocked when I got nearly 30 ( 29.98 or something)
on a trip in the Mach.
Old car got 20 city, the Mach is getting 19-20 city.
Torque = MPG.
Lower rotating mass, parasitic losses helps too.
More room, American, better resale value, styling, power when needed,
great seats, Rear (correct) wheel drive, the list goes on.
Mach 1's rule.

Re: Making a Ricer Owner Jealous

His ignorance doesn't suprise me.
If he knew what a real sports car was, he wouldn't be driving a Ricer.
And fuel is just to expensive nowadays to educate every Ricer on the true definition of "Muscle Car."

I HATE RICERS......We have a chick that has like 95 300z....got like $33,000 tied up in the motor.....Twin Turbo obviously, but need less to say claims its pushin over 700hp....My response is let's see it!......She wont do it.......Said the poeple who did all the motor work (Z1 Motorsports) told her not even mess with Mustangs.....There were none at out there that would even come close.....Then she started goin on about her 2 10" pos subs in the trunk. I was like wow.....how can some one have that much money tied up in the car and brag about the **** stereo and not want to show it off........Once again I HATE RICERS!!!

Maybe she had $33,000 in the motor because she had to fix it all the time.

Re: Making a Ricer Owner Jealous

A girl that used to live nearby ( now since moved on ) had a riced out Civic that she thought was THE fastest thing on 4 wheels. Every saturday she parked it out in the driveway and washed and detailed it for like 8 hours. One day I had the Mach1 outside and I was chatting with a few of the neighbors when she came walking over. All she said was ( and I can't make this up ) "wait until I get my rims on my car, then I could take this crappy Mustang." and she walked off.

Never mind the fact that she has way less horsepower and about 500 pounds of stereo equipment in the car....the rims were going to make all the difference. I still can't figure that one out.
