Dyno's must differ, hugely, from shop to shop. With all the mods in my sig except the cams I could only produce a best of 307 and 327. So you are saying that your car w/ less mods than mine can produce 325 and 340! I picked up exactly 38 hp over my previous best dyno run. So it wasn't only a 20 hp difference. On the morning that they installed the cams they could only pull 283 on the dyno. And after the install, 345. The upper intake is polished and the lower intake was polished as far down inside as I could reach w/ my dremel.

Re: video w/ the hp custom cams and o/r h pipe

I talked to the owner of the shop that did the install this morning; took my brother to pick up his car. He got a big laugh when I was telling him about all of these recent posts. He seemed to think that 345 to the wheels wasn't bad, and yes he said he can tinker w/ the weather station hooked up to the dyno to make it show whatever numbers the customer wants to see; if he wanted to.

Re: video w/ the hp custom cams and o/r h pipe

ya i guess tahts what im sayin, no two motors are the same, some will make more power than other, and no different dynos dont vary very much as long as there calibrated, before i put on my lts i only put down 306hp and 320 tq i gained 20hp and 20 tq just from headers. but hey man if you dont believe me doesnt make much difference to me, but ive got about 50 passes on the dyno so id check your tune

Re: video w/ the hp custom cams and o/r h pipe

What I don't believe is some of the posts saying 325+ w/ very little mods. Some motors vary and I understand that. My motor isn't even broken in yet; only 5000 miles. Maybe that has something to do w/ it. I'm happy w/ it so far and that is really all that matters to me. Just posted this to give some of the people who cared a little listen to what it sounded like. I always like the way a car sounded when it has that "lope" to it. Not trying to fight w/ anyone; I guess that's why we all post, ask question and respond. Keep 'em coming.

Well, it's not completely polished all the way down, like orangeblast ports them and maybe that has negative effect.

Re: video w/ the hp custom cams and o/r h pipe

the owner swears that since the lift wasn't that high that the stock springs would work fine. i would like to p&p the heads and add bigger valves and new springs. that should put me up to about 380.

Re: video w/ the hp custom cams and o/r h pipe

I remember seeing someone else when searching that had bolt ons and p&p'd heads by boss 330. I thought he only had 330 hp. I don't remember exactly; I do know he did not have cams, though.

Re: video w/ the hp custom cams and o/r h pipe

Just to throw some more variables in the mix, I am the one who had some work done by Al.

The car went from 297rwhp/322rwt to 350rwhp/337rwt by adding the follwing:
1. Al cleaned up my heads and did a valve job
2. Replaced intake cams with 01 Cobra intake cams
3. Kept exhaust cams stock
4. Ported lower intake
5. Electric water pump
6. SLP LT

The car was tuned on 91 octane with 19 degrees of total timing.
