crower st 3

im really thinkin about gettin the crower st 3 cams but i still wanna know more about them for i spend the money. what are all the pro and cons about the stage 3 cams. my car is mainly a street car but i dont drive it much. ie i leave the slicks and skinnies on it 80% of the time. what will the cams be like on the highway ect do i need bigger injectors cause im already at 325 rwhp on stock injector will the stock injectors be pegged out with them. and ill be runnin a stock intake manifold and tb.what kind of gains will i see with the stock manifold and TB will i have to raise my revlimiter, why is there no substanial torque gains and really on hp gains, how will that affect it. so please any and all info on them is appreciated

You will be fine with the stock fuel system. All other things I wouldn't worry about either. Cams, more than anything, just move the power band rather than raise it dramatically. The torque curve is moved to the right, thus making the peak HP higher and raising your shift points as well.

Re: crower st 3

I shift at 7000 rpm. the cams will pull futher then that but your intake wont. you'll be making peak hp at about 6200-6400 rpm, but these cams will go to 7500 plus. The cams will make more power then stock but you wont be able to take full advantage of them until you get an short runner intake or FR500.

Re: crower st 3

you should see anywhere between a 25 to up to a 40 rwhp from just the cams. I would atleast port the stock lower if you going to keep it. orange blast ported intakes im telling you :ORANGE:

Re: crower st 3

dude dont use stage 3's for street use. If anything, use some crower stage 2's or one of the XE sets from COMP. Stage 3's on the street will be absolutely no fun to drive. Yeah it will make a hardcore lope and everyone will be like ahhh thats cool, but you'd need 4.56's or lower just to mosey around the block. Get stage 2's, 4.10's, and port your intake and hell if you got the $$, why not a 5 angle (5-axis) valve job.

Re: crower st 3

i think id be alright with 4:30 as thats what i got now. black mach and another guy on here run the stage 3 cams withou any problem on the street from what ive heard you just cant ride around at lower than 1500 rpm, and your comp has to relearn how to run the a/c cause it will stall it out on idle
