What the heck happened??!!?? - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Ok, so I backed the Mach out of the garage today to wash her up.

Backed up 15 feet, shut the car down......and washed her.

Got back into the car to pull it back into the garage and all the sudden my ABS light is on.???!!!??? I then notice my Traction Control light is on too, and when I push the button nothing changes??!!??

All very interesting to me for just washing it. No clue I'm lost, I checked my fuses and they all check out fine, now I'm lost?? I dunno, anyone have any suggestions.

also.....I pulled the battery terminal for 15mins and cycled the key but, to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

J/K, When you were cleaning the wheels did you happen to bump one of the sensors?

prolly just moisture fugging with 1 of the sensors, Once it drys out it will prolly go away.

Sounds like a trip to the dealership or a reputable shop is in order. Gotta pull the code. BTW, the ABS and TracLoc are part of the same system. So, if you're having a problem with one or the other, both lights will illuminate.

My 99 GT did the same thing. Give it a day or two and see if the lights go out. Never got mine to the dealer, lights went out on their own. Dealer figured a piece of dirt got stuck in the sensor.

My 03 GT did the same thing. Probably moisture messing with one of the ABS sensors. It's ok to drive just know that your ABS and traction control won't work .

Mine did the same thing after being on the dyno. Still don't know what caused it. Shut her down fired her backup and all was well. Wierd.

had the same issue right off the lot with under 10 miles on her. it was an abs sensor, both abs and traction control light were on. ford replaced the sensor and all was well.

the abs light will come on while doing dyno pulls because the cpu knows the front wheels are not moving while the rears are, thus throwing the abs code. a short drive will correct the issue.

the dyno was 4 hours from my house i hope thats still considered a short drive lol.

nah the **** thing is still on, so i'm going to the dealership to see whats going on
