WTB - 03/04 Mach1 Auto in NW - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

I'm looking to buy a stock (or with very minimal mods), low miles '03 or '04 Mach1 Automatic. I'd prefer a vehicle located in the Northwest, but for the right vehicle at the right price I could be convinced to buy at a greater distance. If you are interested in selling your Mach and it's clean, low miles, and is an auto, send the details to me at chucko@myrealbox.com. I can and will spend as much as $22k for the right vehicle. Down here in the Portland, OR area there is or was a 04 screaming yellow auto with like 13K miles for sale at Landmark Ford dealership recently. It's about the only auto Mach I've seen advertised in the NW in auto trader or otherwise, most are 5spds. It may have just been sold as I didn't see it on their website just now.

Thanks for the heads up. I already spoke to Landmark about that Mach and they were asking 26k for it. The internet sales manager was a real butthead about it. I told him that for $26k I'd buy a '05 GT. I checked carfax on it and found that they bought it at auction, so they probably only have about $16-17k into it. I offered him $18k. You can only imagine his reaction....

Car dealers are some funny folks. They absolutely screw people every day with their lowball offers when taking a vehicle in on trade, but when you make them a lowball offer for one of their used vehicles they really take offense to it. Oh well. Their loss. I'm the one with the cash.

I already own an '03 Cobra. I'm looking for a Mach to add to the stable.

If you change your mind to a 5 speed I have one in the Seattle area with 3,700 miles on it.

Here is a list of auction mach 1's from a dealer auction site. They are actually going for $20,000 + if they are in good condition. I did not see a yellow one with 13k auto though.

I wonder why the retail prices are so "depressed" when by this list the dealers are paying relatively high prices for these vehicles?

Of course the market really can be set on it's ear by a quick run up in gasoline prices. Who wants to buy a V8 that requires "premium" fuel when it costs $2.75 a gallon....only those with a lot of disposable income I guess.
